My grandmother moved to NorthPark Village. It's very cozy. I forget how many residents they said they had, but it was a small number, so I felt good that I knew they were going to give her the attention she needed, and they weren't, like, overpopulated or anything. It felt very comfortable, and the decorations were nice. It had that homey vibe, so I knew my grandma would enjoy it. The staff seem very friendly and super nice. I feel like they have a pretty close connection with their residents. I overheard one of them talking about taking one of the residents out for their birthday. So I think that they care about the people there. They do bingo pretty regularly and they said something about Wheel of Fortune. I know that they said once a week, that not everybody has to go, but that they would allow people to go on a trip to town, Walmart was pretty popular, but they usually took a poll to see where everyone wanted to go. They also said something about the library coming and they can borrow books. I have had a couple of lunches there with my grandma, and the food is really good. They said that they've had that chef for several years. I feel like they said it was in the teens that he's been there with them, but it seemed like good food. I was very comfortable leaving my grandma there.

My mom moved in to North Park Village. Right now she's in the independent living. So far I'm really enjoying it. It's not perfect but it's pretty darn good. The staff is very nice. It's beautiful, it's really nice actually. She hasn't really participated much, but it seems like there's a lot going on and the lady who runs it is really helpful. I would definitely highly recommend it. It's very nice. I thought it was affordable for what you get, and the people do really seem to care. The food is OK. When you're cooking for a big crowd you're not gonna get perfection. The vegetables are generally overcooked, but it's a pretty good selection and well-prepared food, so I'm happy with it.

I love NorthPark Village better than any of the other places I went to. They're awesome, and my father-in-law loves it. The attitude of the staff is phenomenal. He said the food is good. It's really clean. They have a salon and an exercise group. The dining area is not small, but it's not big either. There are two dining spaces.

My mother in law moved into the independent living area at The Cottages, and she has been very satisfied. It’s a two-bedroom and really more like a duplex instead of an individual cottage. My wife and I like it, too, even though we are too young to move in. The administration and the staff are top-rated and very Christian-oriented, so it's perfect for anyone who wants that environment. They have Bible studies once a week. We’ve eaten there a few times with my mother-in-law. They have a chef who takes care of the meals and comes up with a selection. If you don’t like the main course that he picks for the day, he has others that you can chose from, but everything we’ve eaten is excellent. The cottage is a U-shape with an enclosed courtyard that is very well landscaped; they must have a gardener who keeps the grounds up because it looks like professional landscaping. Everything is starting to bloom, so it's beautiful.

Most recently, we visited The Cottages. I really liked the layout of the facility. It was such that you could go from one cottage to another without much walking. The rooms were nice, spacious, and clean. The staff was great and really friendly.

We were not impressed with The Cottages of NorthPark Village. The food was not very good at all. It tasted very institutional, like a baked bean out of a can. It didn’t taste very good. She didn’t like that she would have to go outside and walk to get to the dining area. She absolutely loves the apartments because they are beautiful and big, but she would have to go outside, and it was quite a little bit uphill, and she has problems walking with a walker.
