My mother is already placed in Meadowview at the Woodlands. It's a nice place, they take care of her and there are no problems. It's a new community, the rooms were nice, and everybody seems really nice there so we thought we'd give it a try. So far it turned out well. I like that it's a one-story apartment place with no elevator, and everyone there is really friendly. The rooms are small, but it's enough for what you need. My mom is in the memory care level. She gets all of her meals taken care of and they do her laundry. They take her in a van if she needs to go somewhere, like to doctor's appointments, and we can take her out any time we want. They give a month by month bill with a long-term contract. The dining area is an open area where they play their games. The food is really good; she hasn't complained about it and they provide plenty for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They play bingo, exercise several times a week, have activities through the week like church services, and stuff that she likes. I sat with her as she ate a couple of times. I would rate them a 4, because it's good but there are things they could take care of. The staff is good and the facilities are top-notch. The value for money is always more than what somebody wants to pay for, but the care is good.

Meadowview Memory Care was secure and clean. The rooms were adequate. Tammy was great. She showed me around. She was very nice and helpful. I don't know about the food, but the dining area seemed adequate and clean. The kitchen seemed clean. I saw one table where residents were playing cards, and the rest of the people were either in their rooms or watching TV. They just don't accept Medicaid residents.
