My dad has only been in Reflections of Garden Place for a week, but there have already been significant changes. The staff interacts with the people, and the place has a homey atmosphere. People are settled and calm, and you won't see people roaming around constantly. It's a smaller facility with more one-on-one care, stimulation of the mind, and activities. They have very nice personal bathrooms and windows, so it's very homey and comforting. When you walk in, you feel like you're in someone's home. People go to their rooms at a certain time and there's scheduling, so people are getting rest at the same time, which is very important. They have excellent food. They want to know about each person and what they like to do. My father had a farm in his younger years, so they are going to make an effort to take him out and see some farms.

I went to Reflections at Garden Place. It was a very, very good place. I like the person I interviewed with. She was great. I like the fact that there were only 19 people there. But the bad part was that my husband would have to be able to walk with one person assisting him with his walker 45 feet, which he couldn't do. That was the only drawback. The staff was very, very sweet. They were very consistent about saying hello and saying what they did. I like the staff. They were good. It was a ranch-style facility with only two hallways. The dining room and living room were in the entranceway. The cleanliness was great. They had an activity room in the back. Overall, it was clean. It's not as modern as the one my husband is at now, but it was well. And the furniture they had was great, too. They had different-sized rooms and the furniture was great in those rooms and a large bathroom.

My mom will be moving into Reflections at Garden Place. It's nice, and there are only 19 people there. All they have in their facility is memory care. They have a nice eating area and a big gathering living room area for everybody. They also have a craft area and a courtyard. The only thing is, the rooms are a little on the small side; the studio is small. They serve meals and they make them on-site. They have three meals a day and snacks. The staff who took me around was very good. I haven't tried their food, but I've seen the people eating them, and they looked good. They have three different-sized rooms, but right now, all that's available is the studio and the big suite. The studio is really small, the medium suite is a nice size. The only thing bad thing I'd say about them is they don't have closets. You have to furnish the room. There's no little kitchenette in her room, it's just a plain studio. It's just a bedroom and a place where she can put a chair and watch TV.

Reflections at Garden Place was very nice and good. They have a good bit of activities, the place was decorated nicely, and the rooms of course were not very big, but they were adequate. The staff was fine, and the dining area was fine. It's just too far away from us.

I am very happy with Reflections at Garden Place. It’s a smaller, older, homey place. The workers are very nice, and my mother really likes everybody that’s there. The food is good. It was a lot closer to where my father lives.
