My mother-in-law lived in the independent living part of Beacon Hill called 'The Terrace.' When she needed more help, she had to move across the road to a different building, which was owned by the same people, called 'The Commons.' They did a good job of dealing with COVID. They only had a couple of cases all year -- very few compared to other nursing homes. We were pleased about that. They're very cautious and careful. Now they are back to doing their activities, like yoga, volleyball, bingo, and movies. They also have a library, an art room, and things like that. We've had some very positive interactions with the nursing staff and the director as well. It's a very nice facility, her room is spacious, and there's plenty of storage and closet space. It's located in a very nice community that is close to grocery stores, gas stations, and banks. It's just a little spendy and on the higher end.

Beacon Hill was very nice. They were remodeling at the time some of the apartments. This was before the COVID, so people were conversing and stuff downstairs. I don't know what it is now at all. The apartment that I saw was very nice, and there seemed to be plenty of room. It looked like a one-bedroom. The staff who assisted me was very knowledgeable, kind, gave me some literature, and she also told me they had a two-year waiting list at that time. They had walking trails behind, which was very nice.

We put our father at Beacon Hill. It's pretty comfortable, but you can't really tell much with COVID going on. They can't really do the things they would normally do, but otherwise it's a comfortable place. His room is really nice. They call it a one-bedroom with a den, but it's two-bedroom, and it's great. It's comfortable, cozy, and clean. With independent living you don't interact with the staff very much because they're not dispending meds. You're doing all of your own stuff, but other than that it's been fine. They can't eat in the dining area, so they make them for him, and they're OK. They make the meals, and in the afternoon they deliver them. They have a library, a sunroom, a meeting room, a cafeteria, and a nice little area out back to walk on with a little bridge, and it's kind of wild. We've seen a deer just out his window. He's been pretty happy there. They have a nice layout. Value for money is good.

My dad is in Beacon Hill. We chose this place because it was local and was close to me. It's an independent living community that offers progressive care. There's not a lot of staff because it's an independent living, it's like an apartment. It's a spacious apartment with minimal help. My dad has been there for about a week and a half. It's warm, inviting, and safe. The food is good. He gets one meal a day. They have either a 15-day plan or a 30-day plan. I believe that night meals end up costing about $6 a day, so one dinner meal. Right now, because of COVID, it's all passed out cold. It's pre-cooked but then they put in their fridge, and when they're ready to eat it, they microwave it. I think that they seemed very healthy and well-rounded. He hasn't complained about them. They don't have any activities during COVID, otherwise, they do. They have an exercise room that has updated equipment in there. Once he gets more acclimated, they have to go through a day of training for the equipment and they are allowed to sign up for it, but that's closed down for now. They have social services as well as a minister on staff. They hold church services, and they can do it in their rooms, otherwise, there is a meeting room for church on campus.

We pay for full care service at this facility for my grandmother and the care here is terrible. The nurses lie to you and don’t actually go and check on the residents. They do not clean the rooms thoroughly, they don’t keep track of residents

The Campus Administrator here at Beacon Hill Terrace is the best. Through her the staff is happy, feel they love their job and are appreciated. This radiates down to the residents who are all content and feel blessed to live here. We are not renters, we are family.

The grounds are beautiful with walking paths. Garden for residents to plant their own space too. Staff is very accommodating and provides meaningful activities. Fitness equipment in both buildings. We like the other friendly residents too.

My mom is in Presbyterian Home right now. We chose it because of the site, the location and their availability. Each has his own bed and she's not in a private room. She shares a room. It's wonderful. The staff is fantastic and friendly. They have something going every night. I know that they play bingo, they have movie night, and they have speakers that come in. We eat there a lot. We very much like it. We would like to live there someday.

Beacon Hill is in our neighborhood. We had seen it a couple of times and I know other people who already live there. It was really just a matter of location and proximity to my home and ability to provide you extra support. It's convenient to a lot of things. It's clean, it looks like they have nice grounds and the staff seems friendly. I just have had good recommendations from other people who already live there.

We went and toured Beacon Hill and it looked to be a well-kept facility. They have two buildings, one for assisted living and one for independent living. Both buildings looked fairly attractive. Their staff was accommodating. We had lunch there and the food was okay.
