I'm going to move into Chapel View Senior Health & Living Senior Living Community. It's independent and assisted living, and it also has a long-term care component attached. It's comfortable looking, and it's welcoming. There's a person at the desk that can help you. It looks clean. I will be in a one-bedroom unit. This is an older building, but the bathroom is equipped for a walker or wheelchair use. The doorways are wide. There's adequate storage. It's upgraded. The staff during the tour was wonderful and very accommodating. The staff at the front desk was very accommodating, too. I looked at a couple of different units. I can purchase meals if I want. They have a garden group and a Bible group. They have church services here. They have different card games. They have movie time, crafting, and outings. They have a vehicle that can take people to activities outside of the building. The bus also takes you to the grocery store.

Chapel View Senior Health & Living Senior Living Community was very nice. However, it is for somebody that is more interested in the spiritual aspects of aging. They talked about having services daily, and I can't be as enthusiastic about it. It did not appeal to myself and my son. They had separate independent living, and there was another area for assisted living. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and accommodating. It was a gorgeous setting. They have a long picture type window. It was just beautiful to look at. The rooms were very appealing, but nothing stood out for me. There were a lot of people around, especially around the elevator, so they were coming and going from somewhere. They gave me a sheet of their activities. The dining area looked lovely. The surroundings were spectacular, but it did not appeal to me at all. I'm not interested to know that they provide church services and that kind of thing. It was lovely and clean. Everything looked very good on the outside, but it did not speak to me.

I thought Chapel View Senior Living Apartments was very friendly and very homey. The tour was very pleasant and the facilities were nice. It was just that the apartments were a little spartan, is the way I'd describe them. If I'd lived over there, I probably would be better about it, but it would have been a long drive and I think I couldn't see my mom living there. I felt that the apartments were a little like brick walls inside the spaces, so they weren't very homey. The staff members were really friendly and the community seemed small and kind of homey, but the apartments just didn't seem very cozy.
