My mother lived in the memory care unit at Sunrise of Minnetonka from 2016 until she passed away in 2023. The staff gave her absolutely wonderful care that entire time. My mother had dementia, but also another diagnosis that made placement difficult. In addition, she was very active and alert, so she needed beautifully decorated surroundings, lots of interesting daily activities to choose from, great tasting food, and friendship. The staff at Sunrise excelled at all of the above, for almost seven years straight, including through the difficult years of the pandemic, adjusting mom's care as her needs changed. I HIGHLY recommend Sunrise!

The staff who gave us a tour at Sunrise of Minnetonka were fabulous, but it was an older building, and it wasn't as of an open feeling when you're out of your room. You had to maneuver the hallways to find the gathering areas. Everyone that I met was very open and very welcoming. It seemed the memory care unit was a little crowded by comparison to others, but it also had an open balcony off the side that they could go out to, which was inviting, to be able to be out in the fresh air for the residents. It looked like they were getting ready to help the residents do some planting of flowers or vegetables when I was there. So, they had things going on.

My father has moved into Sunrise of Minnetonka. They're very attentive. It's a beautiful facility. His room is very nice, very large, and roomy. They have exercise, singalong, and they take them out on the patio. He is in memory care. They have a locked elevator. It seems very secure. We feel he's safe there. The food seems good. My dad has such a high care level and it's just very expensive wherever you go, and it's State regulated.

We are moving our parents into Sunrise of Minnetonka. It has a very nice appearance, very homey, and welcoming. They greet you whether you're there to tour or you're just there to visit. They make sure that somebody comes up to you and welcomes you and says, "What are you here for?" It was a very nice first impression. We've been there a couple of times and the staff has been different each time. Somebody is always asking you, just making sure they're taking care of you. We were not there at a mealtime, but they showed us the dining area. It looked very nice and they had a little, almost like a snack area there that they showed us. We toured over the holidays, so it was very quiet. There wasn't much in terms of activity that we had a chance to see.

My mother was only at Sunrise of Minnetonka for a week. Our experience was excellent. The staff was very caring and attentive. Her room was nice. It had a very homey feeling, warm and inviting. She seemed to like the food. The value for the money was very good.

Sunrise of Minnetonka was beautiful. The rooms were beautiful with walk-in showers and their own bathrooms. They have Elderly Waiver rooms. They have a beautiful dining room with a menu and lots of different options. They had a dog at the front desk, which I liked. It was 100% nicer than where my mother-in-law is. They go to the casino and lots of outings to Wal-Mart and different places. They have a shuttle that will take people places and they make sure the medications for the residents are coming.

My mother is now at Sunrise of Minnetonka. The food is amazing. The price isn't that much more than a home where she has to share a bedroom or a bathroom. My mother is in the memory care. They bring in all sorts of musicians, so there is a lot of music. They do cooking or do whatever the person is able to do. They try to keep them entertained. There is exercise and reading. Sunrise of Minnetonka is a well-run community. I recommend it.

The parking at Sunrise of Minnetonka wasn't very good at all and it's not easy to get to. You have to kind of jog around a little bit, but otherwise, it was a really nice place. It would have been our second choice. The staff was very helpful and very nice. The apartments were really nice.

Sunrise of Minnetonka is a brand new building. From the outside, it's awesome looking. They have everything there. I didn't find coming here as incriminating. A female staff member showed us the rooms. I just couldn't afford them. The room I saw had a kitchen, a small living room, and one bathroom. I'd like to move with my husband, but not for that kind of money. The staff was totally the best.

We visited Sunrise, and we were impressed with the presentation, but the issue for us was the room size; it was not what we were looking for. Other than the room, we would have been thrilled with it. It’s clean. The staff was very friendly. I think if you were a fully functioning individual and able to move around, that would be a good choice.

My experience at Sunrise of Minnetonka has been very good. Their rooms are very nice. The environment is very welcoming. It's not a very large community, and I feel that we will be getting good support. The staff is nice, very patient in getting information, and very friendly. Their dining area looks very nice. We are very happy with the place. They do have a calendar of activities wherein they do yoga, Scrabble, Tai-Chi, music, and a lot of different opportunities for their residents.

Sunrise of Minnetonka was equal to the other Sunrise that we visited. They were both excellent and would both be rated a five. Of all the ones we visited, the Sunrises were tops. The cleanliness is important.

Sunrise didn't have a system that was secure enough. They’re very faulty in their security system. We weren’t pleased with them at all.

Very poor daily grooming in memory care. Face, teeth and hair not taken care of most days. Shower was not given as scheduled. Depends were not changed on a regular basis.

Sunrise of Minnetonka had the best view. The people were wonderful, and they all seemed to be excellent. It seemed to meet the needs of the population better in some ways because it is smaller, and it felt more like you're walking into a home. The rooms were much bigger. The dining rooms were beautiful. They order off the menu, and they had a very good choice of food. We sampled some, and I thought it was very good. They had a bunch of different activities at the time of my visit.

We had to make a quick decision, Sunrise of Minnetonka is really close to where we live, and there was a room available that we really liked. And in checking prices, it seemed very comparable to places we were looking for. It is a nice and clean facility. I think the room is really nice and everyone -- the staff for that matter -- has been very friendly and very helpful. It is a very caring staff. There had been a couple of times when there has been late medication, and they called us and made a note of it, so I think they are right on top of everything.

Sunrise of Minnetonka was the first facility that my mom was in and this place is fantastic. It's living in a large home. It's a lot of one on one that you want to have. The rooms were fairly small and I thought it was very expensive. The staff was wonderful. They ran very short staffed a lot, but still the staff was wonderful.

Sunrise of Minnetonka seemed to be a pretty good place. The staff was accommodating. They didn't rush me, and they gave me enough information. I looked at one room. It was for double occupancy, and I wasn't looking for that. I was looking for just a single room. The double occupancy room would've been small for two people. Sunrise was a modern, probably medium-sized facility. It was clean and homey. I was satisfied with the visit.
