Great community with great staff. Maintenance is so fast and always helpful. Leasing was a breeze and they are always easy to get a hold of with any questions. So far I love the community, The pricing was much more fair then other senior options in the area. Residents are friendly too!

My mother lived here for many years, she was in the hospital in Mid May until Mid June (rent paid both months), she died unexpectedly June 15th and we notified the complex. We advised them to keep her security deposit, because we know it was unexpected and the right thing to do is forfeit it. That wasn't good enough, they claim her deposit doesn't cover rent for July. Well she passed away, so she won't be occupying the apartment in July (Yes this has to be explained to them) Rent has increased 46% over the past 3 years and that could be a factor, why her deposit wouldn't cover it. They have exploited the elderly in these high increases and we won't let them exploit the deceased. They had zero empathy, all they wanted was more money from our deceased mother and not today, this stops here. They continue to call relentlessly, yelled when the keys were dropped off and complaints will be filed.

This place was better when the township owned it , a real estate investor has bought it and it is not easy to live here with the lies from staff, to spy cameras at garbage bins, to new rules constantly not in lease, high increase in rent up to $100 so far, yelling of maintenance man to residents, not getting back deposits because of outrageous of charges on items that need to be replace anyway, curb appeal appearance changed on inside and outside but never anything in apts for the residents, no promises at sale of this place has been done for the residents, places are not sound proof can hear everything next door, i would suggest not moving here because of the stress and rental increase are way too high for seniors on fixed incomes.

its awful here.people are moving out all time breaking leases. Some get charged. Some are let go without paying a dime. Alot of discrimination and favoritism here.. Management doesn't care about your concerns they tell you that you are complaining and not responding to anything like dirt mattresses left in storage room smokers in the apts and making other residents ill. Shelby rescue is here constantly. I've had mold in my apt , electric issues. Appliances are old and filthy. They charge different rents according to who they want some get 3 raises within 12 month lease. Other get one larger. Some are pay 460 for one bedroom while others paying 800 plus. You can't go to management with concerns. Make sure you keep security cameras in your apt also..im getting an attorney to get out here ..rooms are small. Need update in bathrooms. And kitchens . If u have smoker above or below your apt will be filled with fumes cant sit on balcony without have ashes raining down on your furniture there.. there are no activities at this time . They remodeled hsll n paint walls people moved in and out damaged area that management want charge tenant who lives by damage even though they didn't cause the damage. They lock garbage room up every weekend so we all have slip slide outside to walk to outdoor garbage bins.

I feel safe at this location and trust all the staff that is currently working and maintaining the good reputation of this complex. The manager and assistant Manager. The maintenance guys Chris and Mike. and the Cleaning company that comes in regularly to maintain the building. These employee's can be trusted without worry.

My grandma lived here for eight years and has not enjoyed it one bit. All of the residents are terribly rude!! The management is unbelievablely poor as well. Along with my grandmother being harassed by management as well. My grandmother is blind and they have threatened to evict her multiple times just because of her poor eyesight and how she shouldn't live alone however she is more then capable. If you are looking to move into a place where the management is horrible and a place where the residents are constantly fighting and starting an unbelievable about of drama Shelby Manor is the perfect place for you.

My sister lived at Shelby Manor for many years, and I thought it was pretty nice, but it’s pretty congested around here. I have been here for about 14 months. There are very nice facilities, the people are good, and there’s no problem with the community. I am just looking at the cost. I have a 1-bedroom apartment with living room and kitchen, bathroom, washer and dryer, and a balcony. The grounds are very nice. If I have any problems or anything, they help right away. They have three buildings, and they have a maintenance person for every building. If I call with a problem, they are here in like 15 minutes, and everything is well taken care of. I have no problems.

Shelby Manor is a very large facility and it is pretty good. They don't offer any assistance while you're there. It's a rental facility that rents apartments to seniors. It's close to shopping and a big hospital. The price of it was about $680 a month for a 2-bedroom unit. You could get Meals on Wheels or you can cook your own stuff independently. If you wanted to put in a microwave or something like that, they would build it in for you.

Shelby Manor Senior Housing was a well-kept three-story building. It was very reasonable as far as rent was concerned. It had all the conveniences that I wanted, like a carport which cost twenty dollars per month, a shopping mall nearby and access to a senior center which provided bus service wherever you wanted to go. There were both one bedroom and two bedroom apartments available, but the one bedroom was enough for me since I am single. The apartment was complete with dishwasher, dryer, utensils and refrigerator, but there was no dining area in the facility.
