I toured The Village of Redford. It was too small and it was not gated. Just a wire gate separated the houses around the vicinity of the place. It was way too small for the money that they're asking for. The staff who assisted me with the tour was late. There were moments when nobody was at the desk. You have to get buzzed in, and nobody answered the door for a period. And when they finally did answer and opened up the door, they still took a long time to come. She wasn't pleasant at all. They need to be on time and inviting, and be pleasant. She didn't give us any information about their amenities. We toured a cottage. The place was clean and well-kept. It felt homey for someone who wanted a small space.

We are leaning towards The Village of Redford. The staff was pleasant. It was clean looking, and the rooms were spacious enough. The whole setup was nice. We saw the bulletin board of activities. The staff was very pleasant. It was neat. I liked the way it was built up; it was a high rise. It was scattered around, and my mother liked that it had only two or three floors. It wasn't a real tall high-rise. The unit that I saw just had the windows. It didn't have a patio or porch. It was a big window, like a bay window where you could put plants or something. A lot of sunshine was coming through there, so that was OK. The residents seemed social and happy. They spoke, so they seemed happy to me.

My tour of the Village of Redford was very nice. They had studio apartments, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments. The place was extremely clean. They have a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher, they have hookups for a stackable washer and dryer, and they have walk-in showers. The upkeep of the place was very good. They have exercise rooms, a theater, they have a game room, and a salon/barbershop. There are a lot of walkabilities outside. The person who gave the tour was very helpful and very knowledgeable. It's more than adequate, and if you're on the first floor you have a patio area. There's also a second area at the back they call The Cottages, and they have a nice porch. It stuck out to me how clean it was. It has everything you need.

It was very nice at The Villa at Redford. The people were very nice and the facility also offered nice activities for the residents. It's a community that had little townhouses, apartments and a nursing facility. It was really clean, well-knit, bright, and updated. It felt like home. The rooms were a bit smaller because they were right next to each other. They're just a tee bit smaller than where my mom and dad are now. One of the rooms is a master bedroom but that only has one bath. It also has a small glass door to the balcony.
