I moved into Norman Towers. It's 102 senior apartments, and it's located right across the street from Raven River, which is very nice. There is a little park right down the street within walking distance from me. It is pet friendly and it's been really good since I moved in here. I have met the apartment manager. She's very nice. As a matter of fact, I see her maybe two or three times a week as I go back and forth to the garbage. I have to pass the office to go to the garbage collection, and we have a conversation periodically. It's very nice. Everyone cooks their own meals. We have a kitchen, but there is like a little concession area that you can go in. They have a cafe, and there are free coffee and doughnuts every morning. There are programs going on. There is an exercise facility. Every day there are different exercises like yoga, and just last week, there was a big barbecue. There's something going on here every day. I chose it because it was something that was available to me right away, whereas the rest of them had such a long waiting list. But this one, there was a wait, but it was maybe a couple of months. It was not six months, eight months, or ten months. This one came about really quick, and the young lady got in contact with me. As a matter of fact, I saw the place before the lady before me, before she even moved out. She had her things all boxed up, and I was able to see the place before she actually moved out. And I said that I wanted it, and it was just a matter of a cleanup, which was a couple of weeks, and I was able to actually move in.

I toured Norman Towers Retirement Residence. It is a beautiful place, well-kept, nice, and clean. They have a friendly atmosphere. They only had two 1-bedrooms available, and they showed me both of them. It's clean, spacious, and perfect. They offer meals to their residents. They have a gym, which I like there; it's very nice. They have a library that had computers available for people. Outdoors, they had a little seating area, with a table and chairs. I'd say it's well maintained.

I like the fact that Norman Towers has one meal a day for us, and I don’t have to prepare breakfast. There are activities, and all of the residents participated in many. They have bingo, card games, and entertainment once in a while. I am satisfied here, and I am comfortable.
