I used to live in Oxford Park Towers of Berkley. It was an 8-story high-rise building, and I liked my apartment. Every apartment had a balcony, and they've got laundry on each level. What I didn't like about it was I think it was built on an ant mound - the little red ones. They were easily taken care of, but they were a problem. Their gym could be larger. They had a library, a card room, a pool table, a movie room, and a multipurpose room. And then you could have a party there because it had a kitchen.

Oxford Towers of Berkley is OK so far. They have a lot of activities, Bingo, and lots of other games. We cook our own meals, unless you want to buy Meals on Wheels. My apartment is not that spacious, but it's clean. I do my own cleaning, but you can hire someone to do that if you want. They have a library, a room with a pool table, a big dining room area with a piano and organ, and there's a sitting area. It's very nice. They recognize all the holidays and put up decorations and stuff, they have a tree on every floor, in the library, sitting room, and dining area. I enjoy the activities, plus we have a lot of connection with the Berkley Community Center.

I think that the Oxford Park Towers is an excellent choice for someone who prefers to live independently and who is looking for an independent living apartment for themselves, a friend or even a family member. The Oxford Park Towers is a beautiful apartment both interior and exterior. It is in a safe and secured crime free neighborhood also. It is also a senior friendly community as well. Oxford Park Towers is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and surrounding neighborhoods and so very tasteful to the eye and it also located in a beautiful residential neighborhood as well. Their community offers a socially friendly atmosphere and environment. They provide 24 hour staff to assist and support their residents’ everyday needs. I would recommend this senior living community to any and everyone 55 and over because I know that they would like it there and I know that they would do very well there also. The crime rate there is also 0% there it is very safe and secured there for any and everyone to live there and feel very comfortable. In general I think that this is a very nice and comfortable independent living apartment building and it is affordable to live there also. The rent there is $760.00 a month with heat, water and electricity included in the rent. It is very affordable for all that their residents are receiving for such a low amount of rent in a crime free community. While there I noticed that they are close to Beaumont Hospital, farmers market, shopping malls, pharmacies and a vast majority of other useful businesses and services. In general, I would have to rank this senior community apartment building a five stars rating for its excellence and expertise. .

My former grandmother-in-law stayed at the Oxford Towers. I would visit her every two weeks. I found the hallways to be rather dim, the elevators were too small, and so were the apartments. Despite those small things this is a great place for seniors to live that are still independent but, in need of assistance. The place appeared to be well protected and the staff was always friendly. I never once heard my former grandmother-in-law complain about her living situation. There were plenty of community programs available to her although she would never participate in any of the activities. The exercise facility was sufficent enough for the seniors to get a great workout. The pricing for the rent was reasonable given the services and staff that were provided. I just wish there was more room available in the apartments. I would recommend Oxford Towers to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for their loved one in the greater Detroit area.
