I moved into Highland Towers, and I like it very well. The staff is friendly and helpful. Whenever I have a question, they help me quite a bit. They have a stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. They have exercise classes twice a week. So far, the value is good.

I toured Highland Towers. That was out of my budget. They were doing some renovations to it, but it was great. It was clean. The space is enough for one person. The staff was wonderful. She explained everything to me, and what wasn't included. She took me around and showed me to a different apartment. She was very nice and everything. She sat me down and told me that if I changed my mind to come back there and she would have more available there if I didn't get that one.

I like the Highland Towers because it's quiet, no kids around, and the rent is reasonable. The apartment they showed me was nice, and just the water and heat are included in the rent. Like most apartments, you don't have to bring your own stuff. They furnish all that. The person who toured me around was awesome.

I toured Highland Towers. The grounds were not kept up at all, whatsoever. It was nasty on the inside, it just didn't fit, and the grounds were horrible. The staff didn't know what was going on. I guess she was nervous, and I had to wait for 20 minutes just to get inside the facility.

Highland Towers was very helpful. The interview was quick. The lady took me on a tour of the apartment and everything was fine, but I just can't afford it. I wish I could. The building was clean and quiet. I liked the area. I see there's a lot of stuff that's convenient, like grocery stores. A lot of the shops are pretty easy to get to within walking distance. There's a lot of traffic going around there, but the community is nice.

We toured Highland Towers. It was a lovely facility. However, they did not have any availability and we would have been placed on a waiting list. It was very spacious. It was very clean. They have a very pleasant community garden, and I feel like it iss a serene place where you can just go and chill. We only met with a staff, and she was very friendly and very receptive. For amenities, there was a salon where they could get haircare, and there was an activity room.

I like Highland Towers. The staff showed me a vacant apartment. I like the location. I like the surroundings and stuff. However, I didn't see amenities, and that is what I was hoping if I was there. Everything looked nice and clean. There were a few people downstairs when I came in, but it didn't seem like you could congregate downstairs. I didn't see where could sit downstairs and communicate with people. The staff who assisted me was very nice. And she explained the rent and how much I would be paying and what's not included. She explained all that to me. The staff said that various people live there. There were people on Section 8 and people that were on HUD assistance and there were people with just regular income.

Highland Towers is pretty good. They were friendly. They could do something a little different about the parking to make it more accessible. The lady was polite and knowledgeable. She gave me her business card and filled me with some of the things the building has to offer. So she was good. There are restaurants and a hospital nearby.

I toured Highland Towers. I did the walkthrough. I went through two apartments, one with a balcony, and one without a balcony. There are a lot of sliding doors inside of the apartment. As far as closets, they were very hard to open. The kitchen in both of them was kind of coming up by the stove, so I didn't like that. The carpet extended out into the hallway from the apartment under the door. I don't know why that was like that. It looked kind of rundown. They didn't clean out the tub or anything. The toilet was nasty inside of it. It was old or something and they didn't bother to clean out the cleanser or whatever they used in there. It wasn't very clean. The staff was very nice. She was doing her job, but I wouldn't want to live there. There were no activities there. They only showed me the apartment and pretty much that was it. I don't remember her showing me a laundry room, and I don't think they have a trash chute because I saw dumpsters outside.

The tour I had at Highland Towers was fine, I was just surprised that the rooms were smaller than I expected. There was a refrigerator, a stove, and an oven. The staff who assisted me was nice. She explained everything and I can't complain about that. They had a balcony on the apartment that I saw on the 5th floor. There was a little seating for people outside the building. I didn't look around to see much of the building. But in front of it, there was a space to sit.

When I went into Highland Towers, the carpet in the office was dirty. The lobby has nothing in it. They put the carpet up. I went to whatever floor the lady took me on, and the carpet was also put up there. The apartment itself looked OK, but it was not something that I would have lived in. To me, I just think that a senior, especially after they've been here all this time, deserves to live nicely and that's not a nice community at all. The lady indicated that she's restaffing and revamping, but my thing is, don't show people something that's not up to par like stuff that was hanging out the ceiling. It just was not a good tour at all. The room was clean and smelled good, but I had to come outside my apartment as well. They had the apartment together. That was clean. The carpet was also clean. It was painted and deodorized, but coming outside of the apartment was just bad. They didn't have any amenities. She said that she's re-staffing and that they're going to come up with programs and stuff, but it seems that they used to have those. That, too, left a bad taste in my mouth, because seniors should always have something to do regardless of your management company. Seniors are by themselves most of the time. Everybody doesn't have a family. So, if you live in a senior building, they should have those amenities that cater to your needs. The lady was very, very informative and very nice. She spoke to all the residents. I had nothing bad to say about her. She was by herself in there. It's the management company and the way that they're handling and taking care of that property.

I toured Highland Towers. They haven't gotten it done yet. So they're still working on things like the common room and I'm not real thrilled about the amount of grassy area outside of it. So if I wanted to go outside and stuff, there's not very much of it. The staff who toured me around, for a shorter time than she's been there, she's very knowledgeable about the place. They would take care of the lawn and everything, so that's a plus for me. I don't have to deal with the outside. They pay a lot of the utilities. I will be just paying for electricity. They've got two areas for the common room where everybody can gather. The upkeep looked good. Everything is all around, I liked that too, so it's like walking distance as I want. It's pretty accessible for items around.

I've toured Highland Towers. I'm on a fixed income, and their prices were more than what I could afford. The person who gave the tour was very nice, very informative, and very friendly with the guests so I enjoyed that. I was comfortable and welcomed. The meeting room was quite small for the size of the building, and it closes up at 5:00, but I was hoping somebody would be there to host different events and activities in the evening. The only amenities were the meeting room and a laundry facility.

Highland Towers seemed very nice and clean. They were cleaning as I was coming in the door and it smelled nice. It didn't have an odor. The people were really pleasant. The lady that did the interview with me and showed me around, was very pleasant and very nice. She contacted me later just to check on me. I went down the hallway and into the interview room, and they offered me water to drink. I went inside an apartment, and it looked very clean and nice.

Highland Towers was really nice and clean. The staff was very, very nice. The building was nice and clean, outside and inside. I was impressed with the service. They had activities for my friend. I would recommend it to anybody else that's looking for a place. They took us to a couple of different apartments. The apartments were nice and equipped with the newest technology. I talked to some of the residents, and they were surprised that it was nice. The food looked good, but I didn't try it. Some of the residents told me it was nice. They catered to their residents. They have a fitness room, an exercise room, a grocery store, and a barber shop, and they even got a place where you can get your pet groomed. They are a little higher than what most people can afford, but I understand because they have a whole lot going on.

Highland Towers was a very clean and quiet building. You get a stove, refrigerators, and the regular stuff that you get in an apartment. The person that toured with me was very helpful. They have a balcony if you wanted one.

Highland Towers is a very tall building. When you walk into the front lobby, all you smell is urine. The young lady in the office allowed me to come in while a resident was in there discussing something with her. The lady was in there talking about the infestation that's going on. I sat there. They finished their conversation, and she gave me an application. I said, "So what is it? Is it bedbugs?" She said, "No, it's roaches." She said that they have tried and tried to get rid of them to the point that they had to bring the dogs in. I have never in my life heard that you can use dogs to find the nest of roaches. I went on and did the tour. The carpet was filthy in the hallways. The apartments were very small. I don't have a problem with small places because it's just me, but that was a little too small. I couldn't get over the stench of urine. I walked right out of there and threw that application right in the garbage because they cannot get rid of their infestation. Then I went online and read a current post and past post. They have been having that problem for a while. There was a lady in a wheelchair, and the residents were kind of congregated in the lobby. They were just sitting around talking. There's nothing wrong with that, but that whole lobby smelled. I did not smell the urine on the floor that the staff took me to; it was all in the lobby.

Highland Towers was neat, but it just didn't have a warm feeling to it. It was just a whole different vibe. Aesthetically, it didn't look really nice to me. The carpet size was a nice size. The person that gave us the tour was nice, even though she didn't realize that we were coming. I don't know why because we had set up an appointment, but she didn't get it. It was clean, but it just wasn't a fit for my mother. The building was old and dated. It didn't feel that warm or inviting to me. I saw the laundry room. It was spacious, but it was outdated. It needed some updating.

The best thing about my tour at Highland Towers was that the representative was very pleasant and friendly. The least that I liked was that I find the quality of the place was not up to par. I would recommend that they update their apartment units. They just were not updated and they're very, very old. I don't know whether they figure out because we're older so we don't want anything nice, but that's not the case. You walk in there and the walls and floors were just not up to par, and the office was not pleasant. It wasn't a pleasant experience and when I saw the units, I also wasn't pleased. It's located on a bus line on the main street, which would be easier for people to get around, for those that don't drive. There's a hospital within a mile, and there are restaurants all over the place.

I toured Highland Towers. They showed me a bedroom, but that was too small for me. It was a nice and clean facility. They had 2-bedrooms and 1-bedrooms. They didn't have any amenities. They only have the facility for living. It's a little dated.

I had a very nice visit at Highland Towers. The staff was helpful and professional. I didn't have any problems at all with it. The unit was very nice, and it was on the 11th floor. It's an elevator building. We went into the community room, and we went to look at another apartment. I saw two apartments. The one-bedroom had a kitchen and a bathroom. They have a laundry facility. They had convenient parking right in front of the building and I appreciated that. It's an older building though.

Do not let your loved ones live here! an elderly relative lived here for a couple years. management changes so often but none of them can seem to solve the constant problem of bed bugs, roaches, and water damage. they call beg bug spraying companies often but it doesn't help, they need to strip up that super nasty stinking ugly awful carpet they have on every last one of the 12 floors and in every single apartment!!!! also they treat the tenants like crap as if no one is there to help protect them. they will make court dates and throw u out without any communication! the maintenance never fixes anything! the staff are rude and obnoxious. they can't even employ a maintenance man who wants to deal with all the crap!! THEY EVEN MADE THE NEW AS PROTESTORS STOOD IN FRONT HOLDING UP SIGNS THAT SPOKE ABOUT THE SAME ISSUES! BED BUG AND ROACH RIDDEN DUMP NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

When I visited Highland Towers, it smelled of mildew. I'm allergic to mold and it smelled moldy, but they're working on it. They've got some great apartments over there that I can afford, but because of the mildew/mold that they have there, I couldn't stay there. They're in repair and remodeling a lot. They have no carpeting in the halls too, it's all cement flooring. I saw a two-bedroom apartment and it had the best walk-in closet. The view was great, and the kitchen was OK. Then the smaller one was a one-bedroom with a brand new kitchen in it. It was great and was bigger than the normal one-bedroom would. The girl that I met was great and the few people that I talked to were good. For me, I would rate them a 3, but for somebody else who doesn't have the same problem as I had, they probably would rate it as a 4.
