I went to Concord Park to look at their memory care, and I was very impressed. The staff was professional, the place was attractive, and it seemed like they had a good program. The room that we saw was small but it was adequate. The person who gave us the tour was very, very nice, very accommodating, professional, and caring. I think the staff was probably top notch. I do have a friend who lives there. The food was good. I wouldn't say it was great, but I noticed the day we were there that they were offering swordfish and steak. So I think it's pretty high quality for a memory care place. My only criticism was that they didn't offer music therapy, and I think ideally I'd like to find a place that has a music program. They had concerts where people came in and played music, but as far as a weekly music group, I think that would have been nice for seniors.

Memory care unit has less than 20 residents, and yet many of those people are neglected. The aides care for the easiest and there is a little to no oversight. We had to hire additional care because of the inadequacies & favoritism shown by the aides. My mother was there for only 4 months before we took her to Emergency. She had lost touch with reality! We learned from our outside aides that she was not being given her medication, including a very important antibiotic to fight a UTI. No one from the facility had contacted us! According to the Emergency Dr who cared for her, this was entirely a result of not being medicated properly/at all. After a 4-day stay in the hospital, she was still not stabilized. We had to put her in a nursing home temporarily until she was back to her old self. Then she was moved to lovely Memory Care facility. Needless to say, no one should put a loved one in this place. Mom nearly died from their neglect.

Concord Park is like a 20-year old facility, so they're remodeling everything. It was under construction and they're expanding. But the rooms they showed us that had been updated were beautiful, you have nice, little, granite countertops, and new carpet, new flooring of the bathrooms, the works. They'll look brand new when they're done, but right now they're in the middle of construction, so it's a little bit of a mess. I did like them. They did have memory care. They try to not use sugar, white sugar, and stuff because they think that's bad for your memory or your brain, which is kind of nice. They testified that they had a healthy brain diet there. So they let us sample the muffin, which is good. I know the lack of sugar, but they were good. The people who showed us around were great. We did want to go there and they did take some sort of financial assistance and stuff, but they pointed us to their sister location. They were kind of helping us find places that were a little bit more reasonable.

Concord Park was really nice. I liked it a lot. They had lots of activities and they had lots of certified nursing assistants to assist the seniors that live there. The food was good. They had shared apartments. Each bedroom had their individual bathrooms and a shared kitchenette. They also had private apartments. They had a service to take the seniors out shopping, a movie theater, and a cafe. There's a guided nature walk, a beauty salon, and a fitness center. The staff was very professional, very knowledgeable, provided me with lots of literature to review, and was very responsive to my email.

I like Concord Park a lot. The food was good. For the most part, the staff seemed to be very friendly, but some of the nurse's aides didn't say hello to me. I had lunch there, so I got to see them a couple of times, and they didn't seem very friendly. The rooms were much larger than the other place. They seemed to have a lot of activities. While I was there, there was a flower place in town that provided flowers for all the residents and I thought that was very sweet. I asked someone about it that works in downtown West Concord, and they felt that it was a good place to go. They should get their nurse's aides to make contact with visitors and smile. I would recommend them.

I am living in Concord Park. My daughter picked it out for me, and I'm happy with the decision. It's excellent in every respect. The staff is fine. I'm sure it's not unusual for places like this where 90% of the residents are women, and I don't have a lot of social interaction with women, playing bingo and such. The food, room, and service are great. It's a new building, and the rooms are very nice and spacious. Everything is kept spotlessly clean. They have several community rooms with books and newspapers, movie nights occasionally, and transportation for local shopping.

I visited Concord Park. I was impressed. It’s a nice location -- quiet -- but close to a village. It’s within walking distance of the main street of West Concord which is a village and there are nice, little shops for people who want to get out of the actual facility environment. There is a lovely walking path in a field and a wooded area behind the facility so that was very nice again for exercise for people to go out. Within the facility, the apartments were very nicely done. There’s a little kitchenette in each apartment. That option is there for meals in the common dining room or for residents to make a little bit of something for themselves. There were activities. Just a pleasant environment and everything was clean and people were nice. The other thing that was nice at Concord Park is that they have a separate floor where they have specifically memory assisted-living so if the resident’s difficulties with memory become worse, they can be transferred within the same facility to a higher level of care. I thought that was a nice feature for people for whose memory maybe a bit of an issue.

My mother has been at Concord Park for four days for respite care. Mom likes the place very much. This place happily took her in even for a few days only. She has a lovely one-bedroom apartment overlooking a river on the third floor with an elevator just right outside the door. She has a small little kitchenette and a very large bathroom. We are very happy with the facility. We chose this because it's convenient, small, and it has a very friendly atmosphere. We had a really nice experience when we went there. They have fabulous food three times a day. They have Zumba, yoga, aerobics, walking classes. They also have art classes and movies twice a week. It was an endless list of activities.

Concord Park is a very nice facility. It is right next to the hospital where my wife's doctor is at, which makes it an ideal spot for us. It is a wonderful place. They have spacious grounds. It also has a secure facility. Unfortunately, they don't accept MassHealth. However, I would still recommend this place.
