I had moved into Wingate Residences at Needham, but I had to move out again, not that I got sick and nobody around me got sick, but I knew I'd be in lockdown in their senior living and that would defeat the purpose of my living there, so I moved back home. I was there for a couple of weeks. They were very nice. It was a lovely place. They provide excellent service, good food, and things that you would hope for, but I didn't want to be isolated. There's a library, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a theater, but I couldn't take advantage of any of these things because of the Covid lockdown. I had two Covid tests, so I had to stay in quarantine the whole time. The physical appearance was beautiful. I had a little experience with the activities. I heard an excellent lecture on my first day, but then I had to go on quarantine, so I didn't get to experience anything.

The Residences at Wingate is brand new. The common areas are quite elaborate and very luxurious. There's a pool, two movie theaters, a beautiful dining area, and the grounds are quite nice. The individual rooms are nice but not particularly big nor fancy. The staff is excellent. They have a lot of good activities, like karaoke and accordion playing. They have just recently opened an are trying to tailor the activities according to the likes of their residents.

My parents will be moving to The Residences at Wingate. It's a relatively new place at only three years old. It has a very nice, clean feeling, a lot of lights, very open, and on the smaller side. I think there are 48 rooms. The staff was very positive. We met the executive director first and then the person who helps new people, and they were both excellent. We had lunch in the dining room and the staff was very friendly and nice. Everybody is doing a very good job. They have a nice dining room. I'm a chef, so I am very particular about food, but it's very well cooked. Everything was good.

I was impressed with the quality of the facility at the Residences. The guy who worked with the lighting made it very cheerful, and they were in the process of increasing the size of the facility by 30 percent. The apartment was about 500 to 600 sq. ft. The staff was very satisfactory. There were a lot of activities and a garden to maintain while getting ready for summer. They had a restaurant in the facility, and the food was better than most restaurants.

We found The Residences at Wingate for my mother. The community actually has two separate buildings. There is the skilled nursing building and the assisted living building. The assisted living has both normal assisted living with a dining area and entertainment, and then there’s the memory care that has the security and extra activities. They’ve worked hard to hire good people and train them to really be understanding of the residents. They seem to be doing a very good job with what they said they would be doing. They have a kitchen on-site that tries to do a good job.

Another place we went to was The Residences at Wingate. It is a new place. It was very good. They have all the amenities. We didn't eat there, but it looked like a very nice place. It was a little bit pricey though. The apartments were of good size, and they're all new. They were all in different shapes. All the apartments we saw were good. The dining area was a big area. I guess you would call it formal dining with tablecloths. They have a pub too. It was a very nice-looking place.
