Sacred Heart Home was awesome. It's an incredible facility. It's a top quality nursing home. If you have to place a parent in a nursing home, that would be the place you would pick. My mom's room was immaculately clean. The level of care was just amazing. Somebody was in the room like every 15 minutes to check on her. Her medicine was on time like to the minute. Mom was dying and she did pass away, but somebody was always there. My mom's diapers were changed immediately if there was an accident. Somebody was always checking to make sure she was clean. They would bathe her and wash her hair. It was more than I had ever anticipated. They would stay in touch with me. I live a good hour and a half away, so if she looked like she took a turn for the worst, they would call me immediately, so that I could get there in time. It was a very topnotch facility.

Sacred Heart Nursing Home has been an excellent place for my 93-year-old mother. Sister Anna was very professional and compassionate during the entire process of getting Mom admitted. The facility is well run, clean and hospitable, and all of the employees are competent and personable. They have gotten to know Mom's children and grandchildren over the past year, and communicate with us comfortably. We are blessed to have found this facility for Mom. She enjoys being there, which gives us peace of mind. Thank you to the staff!

While my mother was at Sacred Heart Home she was well taken care of by the staff. I was very impressed with the way the facility was managed by the Sisters. Everyone was caring from the Administrator and her staff, Business Office, Director of Nursing, Nurses, Nurse Assistants, Receptionist, Activities Department and Maintenance Personnel. Most important my mother was very pleased with her care. She said the food was always hot and she enjoyed going outside to set in the gazebo. My previous experience at another nursing rehab facility was awful which is why I moved my mother to this facility.

My experience with Sacred Heart Nursing Home was horrible. I attempted to move my father from ot of state and tought this facility would be a good fit. I began the admissions process in August with my iniyial meeting with Sister Anna where she we went over the documentaion needed to admit my father. I worked on getting this together and submitted everyhting informing her of the time frame in which I expected to have him move to the area. She then requested more information and over the course of 3 months this became the norm. There was no consistency or even a document twith a full list of what they required. It appeared she made it up as she went along. It got to the point where I asked if they just didn't want to admit my father. He had done all the necessary medical tests and I gave what I thought was all the documentation. When they couldn't give me the run around anymore, they told me that they did not believe the bank statements forwarded directly from the banking institution was legitimate. I asked them to contact the bank directly and they refused. They essentially wasted 3 months of my time. Ultimately, they decide who they want at their facility under guidelines that are based on who they feel they want there. I was humiliated and expected more from a religous facility that should be more compassionate about a decision as important and heart wrenching as decided to place a loved one in a nursing home. Ultimately, this probably was not the place for my dad and God has a way of working things out. Within one week my dad was accepted at another home. Please beware of placing your loved one here.

Sacred Heart was a very compasionate place. The nuns there truly seemed to care about the residents and their care. When a resident died they treated the deceased with dignity, not just seeming to try to get rid of the deceased, but comforting the family and making sure the family was informed in a timely and compassionate manner. They took true care in who they hired to work with the patients, and took great care in their feeding and care.
