My mom moved to Bedford Court. It was close in proximity to where she had been living, and already knew a lot of the residents in Bedford Court. She's got a one-bedroom apartment with a bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. She has a balcony outside, which was recently renovated, and a very nice full kitchen. The staff was very nice. I tried their food, and Mom liked the food a lot. The building was very clean. They have quite a few programs going on. They have regular scheduled events like trips to grocery stores or shopping centers. They do occasional events like trips to museums. They have movies. They have talks presentations, activities like games, and a lot of different games going on. They celebrated the holidays in different ways. They're the most reasonably priced of the places we looked at.

I toured Bedford Court. It was very nice, and everybody seemed to be very friendly. They have a very nice setup. The only thing I didn't like is that there's no garage parking. The apartments were nice, but they weren't as roomy as I thought they would be. They have an exercise room, and they do a lot of day trips with a group. There's another little place where they can do exercises together, too. They have a library and a bank. You have to fend for yourself to find parking, though. Parking is kind of tight. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. I was only there one day but everybody was very nice. They got me some water while I waited for my appointment. I got a nice tour, and she showed me the apartments. We had to go through one place, and it was under construction. And she says it normally doesn't look like that. She said they keep it nice and neat. And you could tell because they were cleaning up a little part that they had just messed up. They could have just left it there for a day or so, but they were right on it, cleaned it up, and moved to the next problem, so, very organized.

My mom was recently at this facility and it was the worse experience ever. She was there for rehab on her legs and they treated her as if the pain did not exist. All while being very rude and uncaring. The food was over cooked and hard to chew. The African team assigned to my wing need retraining.

The facility is tired and worn. During my one month stay the HVAC system not working cause need routine maintenance. No Tv for days while new Direct TV provider migrated tvs. After migration pics and audio breaks up to point that talk shows impossible to watch. Showering is disgracefully unsafe. Shame on you people who set up such an arrangement. I cut 4 inches off the flimsiest shower liner I ever saw. Did not know such junk existed. Entry doors broken 5 days out of 30 on 3 separate incidents. Front desk help unfriendly Most unresponsive. This place really needs an administration who knows how to get the job done. Thank goodness I only needed to stay 30 days. I feel sorry for the long term residents of this pathetic excuse of 3 levels of care. This place should be investigated. Worst 30 days I hope I m ever subjected to. I’m moving out in 2 days. 48 hours too long for me

Bedford Court was very clean and well-adjusted for the seniors. They have libraries, a computer room, a pool, and whatever you need for a decent life. The staff was very good. The tour was very well organized. The guy who received us invited us for a free meal. When we declined, he gave us a very good cake. The facility was very well managed. So, everything was perfect. It's just that the price was high, so I doubt I can afford it, and I'm looking for a much more active lifestyle. So, it was just not for me.

I toured Bedford Court. The carpeting in the bedroom was rather worn and it looked like it needed replacing. What I liked about them was the fact that they had a nice library, and an exercise room that you could visit at any time. I had a meal there, and the food was delicious. However, it's farther out than I would like. It's a distance from downtown Silver Spring. The things to improve are the carpeting in the apartments and the hallways.

We went to tour the assisted living at Bedford Court but they showed us their independent living. Because assisted living was too much for us, it's for people who need help with toileting and showering and changing their clothes, who really had greater needs than my mom had. So they didn't even by showing us the assisted living. So it wasn't a good fit because she needs 24/7 support, and we would have had to pay for that on top of what they were charging us for her to live in the building. The rooms were very nice, it was like a small apartment and they were lovely. I felt like for somebody who's independent, I think it would be fine. But for somebody like my mother who's got some cognitive issues, I thought it would be overwhelming for her because there were eight floors, and it looked like a hotel with very long corridors and dusty hallways that were kind of dark. And I just thought she would be completely confused by every single hallway looking the same. We had a meal there, it was lovely. It was a restaurant-style meal, we had a waitress come over, and the food was good. There were lots of choices, just like dining in a restaurant. The staff who gave us the tour was a salesman and he was very nice.

I was interested in assisted living when I toured Bedford Court. The staff was so pleasant, professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. He explained everything. He answered my questions to my satisfaction. As far as the facility itself, it offers everything. I didn't want to go to an assisted living, and then I would have to be moved someplace else from memory care or someplace else for nursing or someplace else for a hospice. It offered everything and that's what I was looking for. As far as activities are concerned, there is something for every day, and they even did extra things. They have a bus that will take you shopping or to different places. They have a lot of activities within the community, which I like. They have a physical therapy room, an exercise room, and a library. Everything was so nice and clean. No odors. The staff was friendly. I just really liked the place. I was excited when I left there. I had a chance to try their meals. I took some of my friends back because they are also kind of looking, too, and the staff treated us to lunch, and it was very nice. The waiter was nice. The food was delicious.

I went to Bedford Court. It was a little bit out of my price range and the price was the least I liked about it. The price was a bit much. The staff were very kind and professional. The facility was clean, seemed to be very comfortable, and well maintained. They had a courtyard. They had a transportation, which is important for me. They're able to take me there and bring me back. They offered transportation to the doctor's appointment, too. So that was one amenity that I found to be necessary and that I would appreciate very much. I found everything to be very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. They showed me both studio and one-bedroom, and I particularly like the one-bedroom, which is a bit pricey and out of my range that I could afford. I looked at the efficiency as well. It was tidy and small, but efficient.

I toured Bedford Court. They were very friendly. The person who interviewed me and took me around was very helpful. They have a great dining facility. We got to taste the food there, and it was delicious. I thought they were excellent. They had a nice courtyard, a salon, and a beautiful dining area.

My mom is at Bedford Court. She has lived there before, so I know a little bit about it. They were great to work with, it was really smooth getting her in, and they were very accommodating. It's a nice facility. They had activities, but not at this time. She was there a year ago, too, and the food was one of her favorite parts; she really liked it.

We went to see the rehab center of Bedford Court, but they also had assisted living. The staff was nice. It was a smallish facility in that there weren't that many rehab rooms. The staff was very professional and friendly. They showed us the weekly activity schedule.

We have lived in Bedford Court Independent Living for over 3 years and we are so happy we made the move. Bedford Court feels like a real community with plenty of activities to keep us busy. We especially like bridge, the live concerts and trips. The programming is very interesting. The food is delicious and served restaurant style and there are many menu selections which change daily. The desserts are so good! We use the transportation shuttles to and from doctor appointments. It is very easy and convenient. Being a CCRC, we have experienced an inpatient rehab stay and the care and rehab was great. When we went back to Independent, they have in house outpatient therapies for the residents. We like the size of the community and it being smaller. It makes it very easy to maneuver throughout the community and make friends. Don't wait for a catastrophe to happen...make the move now and enjoy yourself!

I live in Bedford Court in Independent Living. People living here are friendly and the staff couldn't be nicer, always with a smile...delightful! Activities are numerous. They are always thinking of different and creative activities to satisfy everyone. The trips are my favorite! Bedford Court is a great value both financially and in amenities offered compared to other communities I toured. Life is ever changing and moving back from Florida, Bedford Court has allowed me to be near my daughters and family. I really like the diversity of the residents that live here. I would recommend Bedford Court to anyone!

Bedford Court had daily activities in the assisted living. The dining room was very intimate and the rooms were good. I only got to see one room, but it was big enough for an individual. It was like a studio. They do monthly meetings, in-house gatherings, and outings once a week. They take the individuals on a bus out to a restaurant in the neighborhood. They had indoor activities throughout the week every day and the aides will help them get there. The food was good, fresh, in good portions, and there's a variety of meals. The common rooms were intimate and they had the coffee bistro area that doubles as an activity room. They had a living room and a little sitting area in the center of all the wings. I like that they had multiple levels of nursing. You had the assisted living, skilled nursing, for those with higher level need of medications, and nursing home section. The nurse, the activity director and the residential coordinator were all very nice.

Bedford Court had good facilities, but it wasn't a good fit for me. The people there needed more help than I do. The person who helped me was very cordial, friendly, and answered all my questions. They invited me to lunch, and it was fine.

I chose Bedford Court because I liked what I saw when I visited. I like that it has all the stages like independent living, assisted living, and they have a place to take care of you when you can't do it for yourself. Another thing I like is the size of the apartment that I'm getting. I can keep my own furniture and not have buy new stuff. They have a washer and dryer in the unit, so I don't have to go down the hallway, and I don't have to share it. It's also affordable and I didn't have to put down a lot of money upfront.

We liked Bedford Court. We went there several times and talked to them several times. The staff was extremely friendly and solicitous. We had meals there and they seemed very good. It has a complex of buildings and there are separate assisted living wings. It's quite attractive. They have a series of lectures and a schedule of activities.

My mother has been a resident of Bedford Court for four years now. It's a very nice place. The staff is very good, very attentive, and very nice. They have a gym, physical therapy that comes in, and an excellent dining room with excellent food. They have a cleaning person who cleans once a week and do your laundry for an extra fee. They have good amenities, a lot of really great programs, movies, speakers, music, dancing, and trips to shopping and theaters. The food is very good. My one little problem is they don't clean the apartments really well, but the facility is very clean. They just remodeled and it's even better than average. It's a great place for people who want to make friends and have an active life because they have a lot of activities and little groups for Bible studies, art classes, and book clubs. They have pizza night with a movie and a bus that takes them to Giant, Dollar Store, and Rite Aid. They also have doctors and a nurse practitioner come in once a week.

The apartments in this building have no access to broadband internet. Verizon telephone and DSL are available but not cable or internet. Comcast is not available at all. The company has a deal with Direct TV that provides limited channels and does NOT provide broadband internet access. DSL is slow. Very slow. Don't count on getting emails from your loved ones who live here. They will probably not have the patience waiting for the web pages to load.

Bedford Court is in the middle of a more city setting. There is a strip mall right off the side of it, so it seemed more like an apartment building that you would find in a city versus like a home. On the assisted side, the entry way and everything when you walk in was nice, homey, and welcoming. However, it seemed a little cold in a sense that there was like no music playing and the staff that greeted me seemed a little hurried. They didn’t seem as friendly as the other two that I’ve been to. I also got to visit to visit their nursing side, and I was not pleased with that at all because I wanted for my aunt to have a step-down facility, and it was more like a warehouse situation in a sense that it was just a bunch of people literally lined up against the wall waiting to go in for an activity. It didn’t seem joyful or colorful so I was not happy about that at all. The one they were about to do was Bingo, and then they were going to do chair seated exercises after that. It’s accessible both by metro and by car, but it just seemed more apartment-like than a home. I’m not going to have my aunt go back there.

Sunrise Bedford Court was a great place. The tour was comprehensive, and they showed us everything. The place was clean and neat, very convenient to everything, and had shopping center right next door. The people seemed very excited and happy to be living there. The dining area was like a small hotel but was nice and casual, and the food was good. They had complete meals and menus with various things that you can order.

Bedford Court was nice, but it was gated and reminded me more of a nursing home rather than an assisted living facility. Their rooms looked pretty standard. What I didn’t like about it was that the bathroom looked dated. It had a walk-in shower with a six- or seven-inch lift than you had to step over to get in. Their kitchen did not have a refrigerator or sink. It was a very dated building.

My mom is in Bedford Court. It is in the neighborhood that she is familiar with. The staff at Bedford Court is good. They have a lot of activities there. They probably have the best activities. There is a lot of music and a lot of movies. They just have all kinds of stuff. My mom likes music the best and they have different concerts and music like sing-a-longs and karaoke. She also likes the atmosphere. They have a great menu there. She gets breakfast and dinner in the dining room. My mom has a one-bedroom apartment and it is very spacious. She has a balcony that she likes to sit on and enjoy. The place is very clean.

We have been in Bedford Court for three and a half years. The staff is very friendly. They also have assisted living and rehab and a special nursing facility. It is very nice, but I think it is too expensive for us. We have a two-bedroom apartment. The rent has been increasing by 3% a year. Bedford Court is convenient to a lot of things. I went to a heart specialist this morning, and it is just five miles away. I drove myself out, but they would have taken me out. They have a lot of activities. My wife is doing yoga here. However, we don't really participate much in the rest. The meals aren't as good as they were before. They are smaller portions. There is a lot of variety, but many of the things are in small portions, and I have lost weight.

Bedford Court is my first choice. I liked its proximity to my house, the people there and the facility itself. It’s in the middle of a shopping center. I would have liked the rooms to be larger but they were pretty good. They have a very nice dining facility. There was always something going on every time I went there. The staff was very nice, amenable and willing to work with us.

She was there for rehab, she couldn’t move herself anymore so she moved into the assisted living part of Bedford Court. She has been there for 2 years now. She’s doing fine. It’s an expensive place but it’s the best place for my aunt. Her apartment was set up by me and everything she owns belong to her. It gives her a feeling that she’s at home. The staff provide good service. They take care of her well, assist her as much as she needs to be with her activities of daily living like bathing, cleaning her room and doing her laundry. The food is good too. They have activities but she doesn’t participate because of her Dementia.

Bedford Court was okay. Their rooms were okay too. They did have activities there. It was a very nice place but it's not just where I want my uncle to be. If that kind of facility is what you want, it is recommendable, but it wasn't my choice for my uncle.

Bedford Court was extremely impressive. The facility was clean and the apartments were all very bright, light, and spacious enough. The sale rep was phenomenal. We ate brunch and the food was great. The people were nice and it looked like they have lots of great activities.

The Bedford Court apartments were spacious but the closets were tiny. A couple of the apartments were done over the courtyard and a beautiful view. The food in the dining room was excellent, some of the best food we have had. The servers in the dining room were very friendly and nice. The activity program came up short for us. The director was very pleasant, and they combine activities and trips to Leisure World.

I visited Bedford Court and we liked it very much. My parents liked it because it's very close to where they live and to their church. Nothing would have to change as far as what they know of their neighborhood, for the most part. By them fixing two meals a day, changing the linen once a week, tidying up the apartment, and then being able to get my Dad through his doctor's appointments, it will reduce a lot of stress on my mother who is the primary caregiver of my father All of those were big pluses. They showed us several apartment styles; one bedroom, two bedrooms, huge ones, and small ones. They showed us the whole layout of the campus. We saw the billiards room, dining hall, laundry area, storage area, arts and crafts, and the library. They rolled out the red carpet, gave us some little light fare, and sat and talked to us. They had some of the residents come sit down, chat with us, and tell us what they liked about it while we were having our little light fare and it was really great. The staff was very nice and they really know what they're doing. I consider it a five-star senior living place, outstanding! The light fare was excellent. They showed us the menu for lunch and dinner, and it all looked good and superb. From what we tasted, the light fare was very good. We like the fact that my mother won't have to do a lot of cooking and she won't have to take care of the linen weekly, and that somebody would tidy up the apartment. But as to the best, I can't really narrow it down, and the simple fact that they can definitely take my father to his doctor's appointments because these are all within a 3 to 5 mile radius to where the complex is. Both of my parents would surely be happy there. My Dad likes to eat expensive meals and he can have that almost everyday in there.

Bedford Court has everything my parents need so that they can relax in their retirement years. They have a lovely 2 bedroom apt. with a full kitchen. They are served delicious, healthy meals in the dining room every day. They are close to shopping. Shuttles are available to take them to nearby places. There are activities for them to participate in within the facility and locally. I have peace of mind knowing that they are in a safe environment and if the time arises, they will be able to move into the assisted living community.

My grandfather lived at Bedford Court for 5 years in their fantastic Independent Living facilities. He liked it there- particularly being on his own, being able to socialize with a number of the other seniors he met there, and their dining facilities (he was a salad bar kind of guy). All the staff members there were always courteous and helpful when they were needed. The residents were in general very nice people as well. The location, within close walking distance to the Leisure World Shopping Center, was a great benefit. My grandfather would walk over to the Giant Food, the post office, the Starbucks coffee and/or the Barber Shop regularly. As the facility was just across the parking lot from the Leisure World Medical Plaza and a physical therapy center, there was never any problem getting access to medical treatment after he had his stroke. He was able to keep living in the Independent Living facilities for sometime after that.My cousins, my sister and I were always happy to visit. His room was large and spacious, we could go to the dining hall with him, and he would take us to the rec room, which had a pool table. After having another stroke, my grandfather had to transfer into the hospice facility at Bedford Court. As with any hospice, it wasn't particularly a pleasant place, and it seemed a bit inferior in quality to the independent living facilities. However, he was taken good care of there.I do recall that the place was rather expensive though, and I'm not sure if the benefits equaled the cost.
