I was very happy with how carriage hill managed to meet all of the needs of my mother. The rooms were clean and the staff was attentive. I will admit I was nervous at first (as I had never had to send my mother to a nursing/rehab center), but I was happy to see that all my mother's needs were addressed.

They are terribly short-staffed, especially on weekends. Unable to move, I lay in my own feces for over three hours -- on four occasions -- because no staff would bother to help. The nurses are friendly, but their reaction time is awful. Visiting hours are utterly ridiculous. How can a working spouse visit and leave by 5 pm on a weekday? My months there -- recovering from a medical procedure -- were simply abysmal.

Check in was delayed many hours. Promised physical therapy was not done. Smells of feces. When we decided to move out paperwork took more than 12 hours. (We are still waiting.) While waiting to check out they insisted on doing an intake survey! Stay away.

My father's health declined precipitously in January 2022 while in the "care" of Carriage Hill. He went into their rehab unit with a broken hip and contracted multiple infections based on improper care, had to wait over 34 hours for antibiotics that were prescribed to be administered, and died in pain. There was no sense of urgency, no compassion, and no professionalism. I share this sad, upsetting, and avoidable situation to honor his death and avoid others from suffering the way my father did.

My spouse has not been at Carriage House for long, and I'll be able to give a more accurate rating when the short-term rehab is over; but the reviews I have seen are either very good or very bad -- and I would like to weigh in on the "very good" side. The 4 star rating has been well-earned by the following factors: The staff have been friendly, caring and helpful -- and with the door to the room open, the corridor has a light and ongoing friendly "buzz". Staff chat with each other and the other patients in a friendly way, and that does a lot to mitigate the loneliness of being in a single room cut off from family and friends. (The Covid restrictions are sensible, but require restricted visiting and have clearly cut down on group activities because currently there are none that I have seen.) The food has been fine -- it meets dietary restrictions, has been varied, and has mostly been tasty, especialy the soups. The occupational therapy and physical therapy have been excellent. The room is comfortable and clean. The overall look of the Carriage Hill is pretty bland outside, but is much nicer inside. I have read the poor reviews and have wondered how this can be the same place. Again, my partner has not been there for a long time -- but our experience has been very good. I'm happy with the service being provided and believe that my partner is too.

If you have a choice, do NOT send your family members here. I can't emphasize enough how bad this facility is. Their goal is to keep you in the facility for as long as possible so that they can optimize the Medicare payment. When our father was there, we had to followup endlessly to get an update on him. No return calls. Nothing proactive. The food is horrible (often burned, lots of processed food, etc.) They seem very disconnected and the staff internally doesn't talk with one another, often contradicting each other and passing off our questions between each other. I could go on and on. To summarize: BAD, BAD, BAD.

Horrible place. Non caring, no email no voicemail for any staff -one hand does not know what the other is doing. Just simply charge money with very minimal service. Very rude staff in general from administrator on down. Do NOT go there.

Carriage Hill was recommended by the social worker at the hospital as a good place for my husband to recuperate. It was the complete opposite. While I thought the private rooms were a huge plus, the staff was negligent. The PT nearly non existent and the so called nursing and doctor care was awful. My husband left that place in an ambulance. Shortly after he arrived there, one of the aides told me to be careful, she said, and I quote “ not everyone here cares”. I would not recommend this facility.

Extremely disappointed in Carriage Hill. Stay away if you expect real, quality skilled nursing care.

I have now used Carriage Hill on two occasions with my mother who did her rehabilitation with the facility. I have found Carriage Hill on both occasions to be both professional, knowledgeable courteous and caring for my mother. All of the staff treated my mother with dignity respect and were a pleasure to work with. The nursing staff all cared and showed that care everyday. I know because i was there everyday. The management staff are very knowledgeable and support and were very helpful in providing guidance for my mothers transition home. Outstanding facility.

Very disappointed with the quality of nursing and physician care provided at this facility. The facility overall is old and needs updating, but very clean. The rehab gym is atrocious: messy, disorganized, and dirty. The staff is very nice, with one exception on my visit, but they refused to call the physician when requested, continually promised that a physician would see our loved one and it never happened. When I call the Director of Nursing, she was unavailable and never returned my call. This facility may be a 5 star rating, but unfortunately does not give quality care. I was expecting a good experience but received a poor experience. I am not sure how this facility could have a 5 star rating since I work in this field.

If you hate your family member or the patient of this place go here . Worst place ever they let you poop your pans and neglect you a lot . I have to give it a star to submit this review but I would give it none
