Caton Manor seemed very clean. The halls were clean. There was no odor. My friend that was there said the food was good and their rehabilitation was good. Again, they had a problem with staffing. It was even much better than the place where my husband was at before. It was newer, updated, and freshly painted.

Caton Manor is very unsatisfactory. There's some maintenance that needs to be done. They clean the floors, but not thoroughly. My mother spits on the floor, and it looks as though they don't see it nor they clean it up. The nurses' station is right outside her room, and the nursing staff is loud. There's trash on the floor, and I feel that the staff is very lazy and incompetent. She has endstage dementia, and this facility has no memory care. She may on occasion go to church, but that's about it. They need to do renovations because the beds and the furniture are old. They need to clean the floor and wipe down the areas. The delivery of food has no consistent time. They need more staff counseling and more training as far as activities of daily living of the residents, especially in my mother's condition who needs more stimulation. They have males and females using the same bathroom and that's disturbing. They don't have an area where I can take her outside to get some fresh air. They have an area for smokers, but that's not conducive for her. The location is on a very busy street.
