My mother moved in at The Bungalows at Bowling Green in December. The day that I started trying to call and check in, everything started happening so fast that I couldn't keep up. After I went out there and saw the place and talked to the people, I liked everything that I saw. They had a room available beside this lady that we knew from the neighborhood. And I thought that would be a positive thing for my mother, to know somebody right beside her room. Everybody was very nice and very helpful. They have different programs. I was present when one of them was taking place. There was a group from the church and they played the piano and sang, and it was just really good. I think those kinds of programs are good for their residents. The staff has been super nice, and I've got no complaints. I know it's a tough job, and it takes special people to do that kind of work. I ate breakfast with my mother and it was fine.

I toured this facility with my mother, and this will be where she goes when it’s time. The rooms are spacious and very, very nice. The building is beautiful and well kept. There was a lot of Activities going on. The staff was really nice and helpful. The dining area is set up well. The food menu had a lot of options. Everyone there looked happy and content. It was nice to pull up and see people sitting on the front porch with smiles on their faces.

There was nothing I liked least about The Bungalows at Bowling Green. I just think that the other place would be a better fit for my friend. The staff was friendly, and the residents were enjoying each other and talking to the staff. It's a very beautiful place. I like that they have a model place where a person thinking about staying there can come and stay for a night or two to see how they would like it. It was wonderful. The interim director traveled from another town where he has the same facility. He knew all the residents there. He called the names of everybody who passed by. He was very friendly. The rooms and the layout were very nice. Their dining area was very nice and accommodating. Menus were available and they had other options.

The Bungalows at Bowling Green was very nice. I liked the little inner garden that they had there. I liked the way it was laid out where you really can't get lost because it's just one big circle. There's no security and I talked to them about that. My question was, "At what point would you want to remove someone with dementia?" The staff said as long as they're not roamers. Her concern was that they get out on the road. As far as having dementia, it didn't seem to be a problem as long as they didn't roam around. I liked the garden area. They are growing seeds and some stuff out there that the people like to see grow. It was a very nice place to go out and sit if you're into nature at all. The rooms were very nice. I could very well see my uncle being there. It's one of the considerations. The dining room was nice. Everything I've seen looked very good and clean. I just met the one girl and she was very nice. She has called me since the visit. She gave me a couple of meal tickets and told me to just give her a call, and we could set that up, so I thought that was very nice.

The Bungalows at Bowling Green was too small of a community. The way they had the dining hall and everything set up was nice. The staff that we met was very nice, very pleasant, and easy to get along with. They had a courtyard outside surrounded by the building, and it looked very nice. Some of the common spaces had access to that. We saw the food menu, and they had nice options to choose from.

We went to the Bungalows at Bowling Green. The tour there was really nice. It was nice and bright. They were doing some renovations on the carpet, but the people were really nice and everything. The only drawback there is that you have to be a little more independent. So, you have to be able to get yourself everywhere, and to go down to the dining room to eat, you have to be able to push your wheelchair all the time, versus in the other place where they'll help you get to the dining area and stuff like that. So, it was a little different for that, but it was very nice.

The Bungalows at Bowling Green was excellent. The people were very good and friendly. They explained everything well. They had a lot of what we were looking for in my parents. They had a variety of rooms, like two-bedrooms and one-bedrooms. They were doing a few activities in small groups when I was there.

The Bungalows at Bowling Green was a little bit better than the other place we saw, as far as more comprehensive memory care and assistance in transfers and all that. We were able to look at that one a little bit closer because they have some of the things that we need. I didn't have any objections to what they were providing. They had brochures, and they gave me a complete tour of the facility. They were able to show me a room, and I'm very, very satisfied with the staff there. I saw the fitness area, activity room, and hallways and rooms. I was very satisfied with the upkeep. I didn't see any problems there at all.

It wasn't a locked down facility, so my dad was escaping a lot because he suffers from dementia. I have had no issues with it, but he gets out of the building and they thought he was a danger to himself and the others, so they asked us to put him in a different facility. His room was adequate sized, but we furnished it ourselves. The staff was fine. They have a patio and a library.

I was really impressed. It was clean, and the food smelled good. I looked at single and double rooms, and I was impressed by how they were laid out. The staff seemed very friendly. I talked to several older people, and they seemed to be very happy.

It was a very clean facility. They had a beautiful garden with nice walkways. There was a much better parking facility. The room was nice. The staff were nice people. However, with the two-year waiting list, I can't get in there.
