I went to Chandler Memory Care & Assisted Living last year. It was really, really nice, they were actually one of my selections for Kentucky, because I have a girlfriend and her mother resides there, and she's still there. I keep a regular report with my girlfriend due to her mother being in there. The director, Tammy, was very helpful, and made me feel like I wasn't asking any dumb questions, covering all of my needs as far as the staff. From the time that I went to go visit, it was a beautiful and clean place, and the staff was very friendly and attentive to the residents. The rooms were beautiful, very well kept, and clean. I know that you have to share the room. They're really engaged with their clients to make you feel like you're leaving them in good hands.

I toured Chandler Memory Care & Assisted Living. I went for assisted living, but I think it's more of a memory care facility. I could tell pretty much by seeing a lot of wheelchairs and it just appeared that there were a lot of people with memory problems. My uncle has got some dementia now, but he carries on pretty good conversation and I don't want to put him somewhere where everybody is further down the road. The staff was very kind and showed me around. We went to the dining room and we went to the rooms. They had activity areas. There was a group of them all together in a room there, but I never paid that much attention to that side of it. I didn't think it was as flashy or nice as the other two I visited. It was clean, but a little older. It didn't hit me as strong as the others.

We toured Chandler Memory Care & Assisted Living. They really need to do some improvements. We went in there, and the guy wasn't very personable. When he would go into a room, he wouldn't even knock on the door. As a matter of fact, the one where he didn't knock, he used the key. The little man was in the bathroom at the time. It is just really an intrusion on privacy and dignity.

Chandler Memory Care & Assisted Living appeared to be clean and well-kept. We visited the memory care area, and the staff was friendly. The only concern was it didn't meet our needs. There were no registered medical people on site. Other than that, they pretty much had everything that everybody else had, like onsite hair salons for the ladies, some exercise programs, and daily planned activities.

I toured Chandler Memory Care & Assisted Living. It's a much smaller place compared to the other places that I toured. Their capacity is less than 50 residents, and it was a nice facility. It looked like an older facility, but it was well-kept and clean. There was a very pleasant interaction with the residents. The staff was very helpful. It was a good tour and a lot was pointed out and explained. They had a secured courtyard. When the weather is good, the staff tries to get the residents out to enjoy the outdoors as much as they can.

My mom will be moving into Chandler Memory Care & Assisted Living. It's a fairly new facility. Everything was sparkling clean. The residents there were dressed. The ladies had makeup on, their jewelry on, and their nails done. Not one of them, but every one of them did. The men were dressed, some wore casual dress, and some wore collared shirts or button down collars. They were dressed like they were waiting for family to come in, and everybody was clean. They acted like they were just happy that everybody was there. They were really great. Mom's room was a brand-new room. They just got through building it, and it was really nice, but she didn't like it because when she got in there, it had like a paint smell. So, she ended up going to another room that had been remodeled, and it was nice too. Mom likes the garden, and they have a little area out in the courtyard where she could work with the flowers or vegetable garden. They also offer cooking classes once a week, where the residents can cook, and she likes doing that. They have a lot of the arts and crafts in the stuff that they do; their games do a lot of memory recall. They were great. They have in-house laundry, the TV was already there in the building, they have cable already hooked up, internet is already hooked up for the room, and all that's included in the price. The location is nice, it's just right off Campbell Lane; it's just easy in and easy out. I've never eaten there, but when we were doing our tour, they were getting their snacks. Everything is homemade, it looks really good.

My father seems to be doing fine over at Chandler Memory Care & Assisted Living. It's ridiculously expensive. It's a locked down facility and we're not having any issues with that. Everything is fine right now. His room is small and plain, but it fits his needs fine. They have a nice dining area and he seems to be happy with the food. His room is furnished.
