My friend is at the Village Manor, and she's very satisfied and very happy there. She loves her room. It's spacious enough and she's got all her personal belongings in, the way she wants it. She says the food is more than adequate and the staff has been very helpful to her. The outdoor spaces are adequate too for visiting.

I was very pleased with the walkthrough I had at Village Manor. The lady who took me around was very nice and very knowledgeable. The facility looked super clean. As far as my uncle, my only concern is it is so large. I think he would be better in a smaller surroundings. They've got it into sections which is good, and the facility was very nice. I can stay in there. I have talked to someone who had relatives in it, so I would feel comfortable as far as putting him in there. He's got dementia early stage and that's another consideration because in some of the places, there's gonna be a point that I would have to move him and I know in the Village, it's just a matter of going up the stairs, which is good. Everything was very nice, as far as furnishings, the bathrooms, and the closet space. I could be comfortable in any of those rooms. I was very pleased with it. They said that they would even bring the food to the room. The facility was very nice. I really couldn't find anything wrong. The staff was very kind, and the lady who walked me through was very pleasant.

With Village Manor, there were only 12 people in each pod. They were the ones you always ate with, communicated with, and did things with. I'm not sure they intermingled that much, so we didn't care for that. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The dining area they had was one long, huge table, like a farmhouse table with 12 chairs, and that's where you would eat your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It wasn't like you could go over to a different pod with a different group of people. There weren't enough options as far as dining was concerned. Even the level of being able to communicate with other people and mingle with people more than just the 12 in your little pod was small.

The thing we liked the best about Village Manor was the neighborhoods that they have set up for the people. They call them pods where there are only 10 to 12 in each section, and it is nice and open. The people there seem to be very happy, and they have a lot of activities going on. They have two caregivers assigned to each neighborhood, so they have a lot of assistance where my in-laws will be. We like it. The person that was supposed to give us a tour was out sick, so another person took their place. They answered most of the questions that we had, but they had to call somebody to answer a few. They could improve on having more interaction on their tours when they take you around. My in-laws are on the waitlist because there was no opening in assisted living.

I toured Village Manor. It was a very large facility. Everything seemed very outstanding. When I arrived for my appointment, and I arrived on the correct day at the correct time, it was a surprise to them of my coming there to tour. But even though that was the case, they welcomed the opportunity and said that I would get to see things as they would normally be and it wouldn't be like they fixed things up before my arrival. The facility seemed to be very, very clean. The staff seemed very nice and responsive. I got to see interactions between the staff and the residents. The environment was welcoming enough that if I were to go into a facility, this would be the facility that I would want to go in. The rooms had basic furniture like a desk, a bed, a chair, and a dresser. Those items seemed to be of a quality product. Furnishings from your own home were encouraged so that the residents would feel comfortable that they have surroundings that they're familiar with. The person who took me around was not the normal person that would have been my tour guide because that person was out for the holidays. But the person who did take me around was very knowledgeable, and very helpful pointing out things and explaining. It was a very interactive and in-depth tour, right down to showing the activity schedule and the menu and even getting to see some of the ends of the breakfast meal, the quality of care given with assisting the residents with their meals. They didn't seem to be in a hurry in any regard. They addressed any questions that I had as we went around, and I thought they were very, very thorough and certainly asked me repeatedly if I had any questions before we exited a particular area. I was there for probably close to 2 hours.

I made an appointment with Village Manor and talked to a lady there today. She was very nice and very helpful. However, as she found out more about my 104-year-old mother, that she could not transfer from the bed to the wheelchair, from the wheelchair to another chair, from the wheelchair to the toilet seat, that she had to have assistance through all those things, she indicated that Village Manor did not provide that type of service. The young lady was very helpful and the facility is absolutely nice as it can be, but they can't care for my mother. I had a short walkthrough and while we were walking and talking, she realized it wouldn't work. She gave me a pamphlet and I had a mask on when I came in, but she gave me another one with a shield. They showed me a room and it was very nice. It's a nice facility, immaculately clean, and everything is nice. I couldn't see anything wrong except they couldn't care for my mother. It's a nice, modern building.

Village Manor appeared to be too big for an individual to fit in by himself. The person who showed me around was nice; however, I didn't think she had much experience showing people around because the tour didn't have much structured to it and we just appeared to be going here and going there. It needed to be more structured towards what the individual is looking for. I didn't get the impression that they knew what I was looking for even though I told them several times.

We very much liked Village Manor. They had a library on every floor, an exercise room, activities room, and cafeteria. We liked their apartments and the fact that they provided transportation for doctors' appointments and shopping. We spoke to the director and manager, who was very nice and knowledgeable. The community is well-kept and convenient. One of the things they did that was that was very nice was, when you choose an apartment, they would completely refurbish the carpets, countertops, appliances, and paintings.
