I moved into Overland Park Place. It has everything I need and everything I would like to have. The people here are very nice and very friendly. I like my apartment, it's very spacious. I also like the amenities here. We have three meals a day, and the food is pretty good. They have a lot of activities that I'm looking forward to being able to participate in.

My mother will be moving to Overland Park Place. I chose it because it was clean, the staff was welcoming, and the price was within her budget. She will be having a small studio, but it's bigger than the room she is currently in. It has its own walk-in shower. It has a small refrigerator, a sink, a linen closet, and a regular closet. They had an ice cream parlor, a library, a physical therapy room, and an exercise room. I don't think that everything is perfect. I believe that there's always room for improvement. The director said that they want them to be out in the community and socialize with people.

I have placed my mother in Overland Park Place. What I love about this place is that it's an independent home, but they have a contract with a home health agency on the lower level, so I can actually hire help as needed for showers or taking my mother down to needed and so on. There's a menu of options, or you can go on a plan of care. It cost so much less than putting her on assisted level since assisted living could go up to $5,000 on top of $4,000 month. The staff is so nice. It's a smaller community than a lot of them, but they're so caring, and the food is good. I can call there any time, there's always somebody at the reception desk. My mother is on the third floor, but she can handle the elevator even with a little dementia. They have church services there, Bible studies, and activities. Most of the people there are on walkers, so my mother doesn't feel out of place. There's a couple who live there, and some people still drive, so for her budget, for now it's somewhere she can live for a while. I can't say enough about the staff and everybody; they're so helpful and so caring. They remodelled the building, and it's beautiful.

I just moved my father into this facility. It recently went through a complete renovation of all the common areas and it is beautiful. My father loves the food. We took advantage of a new program call the Staycation. He stayed in a furnished apartment for 2 weeks so he could see how he liked it. I think this is a great idea and it worked well for us since my father really didn't want to leave his home so wasn't sure about the place. The apartment is a good size and they clean it and change sheets and towels weekly. They have lots of activities and the residents seem very nice and have been very friendly. They have on site medical help which has been great not having to go off site for doctor's visits. I highly recommend this place

I visited Overland Park Place, it was very clean and I loved it. They provide three meals a day, and they had lovely studio apartments with a small kitchenette. They were being remodeled and there are nice plans for redecorating. They also provide bus transportation to shopping and doctors' appointments. The lady there took a lot of time showing me around. While I was there, people were playing Bingo and they had a little store with an ice cream soda fountain that I really enjoyed.

I moved my mom from independent to nursing care in Overland Park. That level is a bit more expensive than other places. They are excellent and they care well for their residents. It's a fine place for an elderly person to live in. It's also being remodeled right now. I wish there's more parking area in the front. Overall, it is a very clean place and well-cared for. Everyone is very friendly and the staff know the residents by name. The grounds are well-kept and the location is convenient for me.

I have decided on Overland Park Place. I move in July 1st. We are quite happy going into the community, except for the price. The layout is good. The room is an extended studio. It’s quite cheerful, and I think it’s going to be comfortable to live in. They also have very nice one-bedroom apartments. The food there, I think, is going to be good. They seemed to have private chefs who work for them. I have been very impressed with the staff. The people who have been dealing with me have been extremely courteous, very efficient, very eager to work with us, and easy to work with.

Overland Park Place seemed very nice. The rooms weren’t particularly large, but the people seemed very nice. They had a ground-floor apartment. It has underground, so that if I put the dog out, I have to go outside and down the hall and up the stairs to put the dog out. You can’t just put her out the patio doors because there is no artificial turf there for her to go to the bathroom. They had a Wii bowling tournament, craft classes, scheduled outings, and religious organizations that come in for services onisite. We had a nice experience and put a deposit down but decided that we just couldn’t live without a kitchen and that a kitchenette was not going to do it for us.

My mother is in a private room at Overland Park Place. The staff was very informative. There's a salon. She complained about the meals not being that good, but I didn't see anything wrong with them. They did have options for meals and calendars in all the rooms posted with the activities for the month.

I visited Overland Park Place. The employees were great, very helpful, very conscientious about keeping track of the people, and safety conscious in providing a caring environment for the people. The rooms were smaller unless you had a double room or a two-bedroom. I liked the fact that they had a mall on the outside of the building and a wide open window. If they had a concert, you could sit on your floor and hear the music or whatever was going on downstairs, if you did not feel like going all the way down. They had a lot of activities, not just bingo, and that was a big plus for them.

Overland Park Place is a beautiful place, but it is so expensive. They provide three meals a day. You have to pay for some utilities like your cable. Their dining area is very nice. They have Scrabble, bingo, card games, movies, and a lot more.

Overland Park Place was older, and it was nice. My friend’s apartment is older and doesn’t have that new, clean feel, but it was fine. My friend was involved in bridge and going to some programs. I am sure they have a full calendar, but I did not check it out. The dining area is fine.

Overland Park Place was very nice. It was a little bit older. They're probably going to be doing some remodeling in the future, and they are doing some remodeling now, but the rooms did not have enough storage for my parents in their opinion. I know my parents thought the dining room was nice and that they had a variety of choices for their meals. They thought that would be great.
