Hoosier Village has very responsive people. I don't have any complaints with what I'm living, how I'm living, or any of that. Although they have a problem with the quality of the food, but other than that, they have loads of activities here. There's a book club, a cardio class every day, water aerobics, art activities, and concerts at night. There's also a full gym, a beautiful inside pool, a library, a chapel, a park, outside movies in the summertime, and a cafe. It's a very big place. It's expensive here, but it's very high quality.

Hoosier Village has a good combination of services. They are not for profit. They have independent living and homes that are being built recently. They also have some beautiful condos. They have assisted living and memory care, and it's all on one campus. The staff members were very nice and respectful. They did a lot of listening, so we just felt very comfortable. They were all incredibly respectful. They gave us plenty of time to think through what we wanted and needed. They have everything, like swimming, art classes, and transportation if that's something you need. They're just an all-around very high-quality facility. They have full kitchens. They have two large dog parks, pickleball courts, and a beautiful park. They have quite a bit of land, and they're continuing to build a lot of really nice, high-end independent homes. You can rent there, or you can go in and do the continuous care option.

Hoosier Village was in the northwest part of the city, which I am not as familiar with. I have stayed mainly in the eastern to northeastern and I was also in the south of Indianapolis. So that was one thing that would make it quite a bit of distance from my friends and a lot of my family. We visited the independent apartments. Parking was outside and I did not care for that. But everything else was very, very nice. There were activities available. We saw some stretching classes. They got a two-bedroom and it's very, very nicely done. At this point, they offer me everything I am looking for except location. The food was very good. The service was very nice. The staff were very, very friendly, and even the residents were friendly. The only thing it lacked was the parking garage and the location, everything else was perfect.
