My dad moved into Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes. It's been a very positive experience, so far. The staff seems knowledgeable, friendly, and have done a really good job of keeping him both clean and fed and in good health. They did a great job on the renovation. I think the new facility looks nice. They offer quite a variety of activities and they do everything they can to try to entice my dad to participate.

We were very impressed with everything that we saw at Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes. It was very, very clean, and very organized. They have a beautiful library and their dining area was restaurant-style that's open from 6 to 6. You can go in and order off the menu or whatever you like at any time of the day. I met Laura and she was very knowledgeable. She'd been there for a very, very long time. She was very open, answered all the questions, and was very helpful. They offer a variety of game-type clubs like euchre, poker, or board games regularly, as well as weekly field trips for shopping, restaurants, and casinos. They also offer church services, pedicure services, and a manicurist, and a barbershop/beauty salon onsite.

Cedarhurst, formerly Waterford, is by far the best independent and assisted living community. We moved my Mom and Stepfather in just before the COVID pandemic hit full force. So glad we did! Their apartment is wonderful with a small kitchenette, two bedrooms, two baths, and no kidding closet space! Unheard of in this arena. Tons of options and flexibility with eating meals. The nursing staff and other support staff genuinely care, and will communicate with the family on any and all matters. I looked at many, many places and none of them touched what Cedarhurst offers!

My husband was a resident of Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes. The maintenance there was wonderful. The living atmosphere was very good. People were very caring and concerned. He received the best care that he could under the circumstances, because of lack of help. They just couldn't get enough help to come in, but they were very caring and concerned about him. It wasn't until he reached the higher level of care that they were not able to take care of him because they didn't have the staff to do it. The amenities and activities were very good. Kelly was in charge of the recreation or activities, and there was always something planned, always something to do, but my husband was not able to do any of those. We were asked to leave because they could no longer take care of him, and they wanted him out of there as soon as possible. It was not even a 30-day notice. Outside of that, everything was all right.

I toured Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes, and it was very nice, very luxurious looking, and very clean. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable about what's going on. I was greeted by someone from the desk who offered me coffee. They made you feel at home. The lady was telling me about the exercise classes, game days, and quite a few activities they have for people that want to do them. The rooms were very spacious and very nice, too. The facility itself was very nice. It was very up to date. My mom is able to walk around there, but for her to go to the dining area, I felt like it was quite a distance to walk. There's benches though that she could sit down on if she got tired. The meals are from 8 till 6, and you can order what you want. She doesn't have a set time to eat or a set place to eat.

Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes was a beautiful place and very spacious. The rooms were bigger and the staff was very nice. Since we couldn't walk very far, they took us around in a wheelchair. We wanted two bedrooms and two baths, and they showed us two of them. They had a lot of activities, like Bible study and church services. The meals we had were really good. You can get three meals a day anytime between 8 and 6. They have certain foods that they serve all day long and you could get something to eat at any time. It just costs a little more than we wanted to pay.

We were at The Waterford at Edison Lakes yesterday. We went there thinking that it was independent and assisted, but we were told it's basically all assisted. They do have some independent but they're all mixed in, which is not what we wanted. It was all mixed together; there was no separation. We were treated very kindly, and it was very informative. Basically, the staff explained to us that their community is what they call an age in place. You can go in as independent but you would just be in the same room and they would bring whatever care you needed directly to you. The apartments were very nice. It would have been adequate. We did not tour any of the outdoor spaces. We were kinda limited because of the COVID going around. We did not see any of the outdoor spaces but what we saw seemed very well maintained. If you needed strictly assisted living, I would highly recommend it. Their location was great for what we needed. It was very convenient to doctors, entertainment and shopping. The staff members were extremely friendly, and the girl was very informative. The facility was very adequate.

My grandmother moved into The Waterford at Edison Lakes, and so far, so good. We chose it for the cost and they had a discount at that time. They had bingo, cards, and outside people come in to present or put on a performance.

My father was a resident of The Waterford at Edison Lakes, Mishawaka, IN from April 4-December 1, 2019. We toured the Waterford after the death of my mother (his wife) in March while they were running a special on the apartment rates. We liked the location, the size and openness of the one-bedroom apartment. The dining room was light and inviting with the tablecloths and cloth napkins. The food selection was varied and they could order off a menu if the daily items were not desirable. My dad especially liked that he could get breakfast until 1 p.m. as he liked to sleep in some days. There were programs he could attend if he wanted to or not. The rooms were quiet. Staff and nursing personnel were always friendly. His housekeeper kept the room clean and the hall laundry was easy to use as I did his laundry there. When his final illness occurred, because it is an aging in place facility, he was allowed to come back to the Waterford from rehab under the care of hospice. Hospice and the nursing staff worked together to make his final weeks and days comfortable. They were also supportive of the family. The overall experience, although brief, was very good and I would recommend the facility highly. He came from another assisted living facility to the Waterford and was very happy with the move. The special rate made it affordable for him and made his last months less stressful concerning finances.

The Waterford at Edison lakes was pretty new, and it was fabulous. I was impressed with how good it looked. They have both independent and assisted living all in the same unit and I think that's nice. The staff was great. I like that the people can eat anytime they want to and that they can sit anywhere they want.

Everything has been wonderful at The Waterford at Edison Lakes. The people have been fantastic. I could not be happier with the decision we've made. They have a lot of different activities. Mom has enjoyed it so far and is really happy there. The food is good. I had lunch with her, and it was very accommodating. They give them options, and they also give them things that they can have every day. Her room is a one-bedroom with a living room that's very spacious and the bedroom is good enough for a full-sized bed. We could get a dresser, and it had a huge walk-in closet and a good-sized bathroom. It's a very good-sized place. She has early onset dementia, and they have them set up on the second floor, which is a good idea. It's set up in a way that she can't get overly confused. She's always going to end up back somewhere and not kind of lost. I'm happy for what we're paying for. It's a really good value.

We went to The Waterford at Edison Lakes. I loved it. They had lovely apartments. I liked the fact that you had your own apartment, but yet you could still have nice services. That's got to be the best kept secret around. They had great people working there. I can't say enough good things about it. It was a little bit outside my mom's budget, but in the future, if there's some way we can figure it out and she does need more assistance, that's where I want her to go. When you first walk in, there are several different gathering areas. On the right, they had a lovely fireplace with four large chairs and an ottoman. We sat there for a few moments while we waited for the person to show us around. They had a little library with book shelves and a lovely selection. They had friendly people. One lady told us how much she enjoys living there. That's a good recommendation right there. We were looking to have help with her medications, and they did have a nurse on staff; your medicine would be locked up in the nurses' area and when it was time, she would go ahead and give it out. You could stop by the nurses' station or she would bring it to your apartment. I only saw one or two people in the dining area. They had a great deal of longevity with their staff, and that means a lot. The facility was lovely, but it could have used some more modern or updated things and decor, but those were in good condition. Everything looked in good condition. It was clean. I can't say anything bad about it. It was really nice. They had someone that you could call and you might be able to hire for your pets.

The rooms at The Waterford were very beautiful and high class. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even called me back and gave me a list of options. I saw some ladies in a room making things with squares of ceramics. The dining area was breathtaking and pretty. They also had an activities room and an exercise room.

The Waterford at Edison Lakes was pricier than my parents' current community. The rooms were very nice and had a living room and a bedroom. The staff was very nice.

My dad is enjoying his stay at The Waterford at Edison Lakes. The staff has been very kind and good to him. It is a very nice facility in a very good location for lots of activities and shopping. My dad enjoys playing bingo and the morning exercise classes. Sometimes they have concerts. The rooms are very nice and are of good sizes. The one-bedroom apartments are smaller in terms of the bedroom size, but my dad is in a two-bedroom apartment and tells me it’s too big for him now. They have a dining room that serves decent food. It is not gourmet dining, but it’s good, tasty food. They have a barber shop/beauty salon on-site. They also have good services in terms of more assistance if you need it. Everyone has a call button. My dad is getting some extra services, like helping him to the dining room. They have independent living and assisted living. They don’t have a memory care or nursing home care, but they have nurses on staff. My dad gets his medication every day from a nurse.
