We have moved Mom to the Willow Lake Place temporarily. She's been there off and on only because we didn't realize it wasn't on her insurance plan. It's nice, but she needs more skilled nursing. It's more of an assisted living. She seems to like the food. She doesn't want to participate in anything, but they do have activities. It's medium priced. It's near hospitals, restaurants, and pharmacies.

Willow Lake Place was very nice. But it's an old structure and it didn't have the amenities. It was somewhat small, too. The staff was incredible. We enjoyed them. I wanted things to get mom out and get her busy, but they didn't quite meet my expectations. Nevertheless, it was a perfectly fine facility. It was nice. The staff went out of their way. Their commitment was phenomenal. The rooms were a bit small and had low ceilings. It was in the afternoon, but they very unwisely took us to a room that was in the shade and a little dark, whereas the ones at the other place were very bright, big, and roomy. The dining area seemed adequate, but it was small. The activity facilities all seemed to be concentrated in one area. The TV lounge and the activity room were all in one area.

I toured Willow Lake Place. It was very nice, but I think it was probably smaller. The staff members were friendly. The dining area was sort of sparse but clean. The room we saw was nice, but it wasn't quite as large as some that we've seen. You could get a kitchenette, but it didn't have very much to offer. It was pretty small. Upkeep and maintenance were good.

Willow Lake Place was very nice and clean. It's not real big, but it was a good size. The staff seemed to be very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I learned a whole lot about assisted living and memory care. They would be one of the places that I would be considering when I'm ready to go there.

Willow Lake Place was a very nice community. I liked it. I like the lake out there so my uncle could have fish. I also like the dining area and the apartment area. As far as what I saw, it was very neat and clean. Its upkeep was OK. The overall experience was really good. The staff was excellent. I didn't try their food, but I saw their menu, and it looked delicious. I saw their dining area and it was very nice. It was small, not large.

My son was at Willow Lake Place for maybe a week and a half. It was a lovely accommodation, but he won't be able to go there because he was at the top limit of what services they could give. We did have a wonderful person who helped us. We were very happy with the service. We had difficulty rounding up the paperwork so that he could in fact get in Willow Lake, and this particular person who helped us just didn't give up. She talked to the doctor, and she did whatever needed to be done because we didn't know what we were doing. She was a great helper. The facility was very nice, very clean, and well taken care of. I live out of town, so I was only able to visit him once while he was there. It's just a lovely place. It isn't home, but very close to that. The staff was helpful. It's a very beautiful facility. It's very expensive, but all of them are very expensive.

I liked Willow Lake Place mostly because of the ambiance, it was in a nice location and provided restaurants and shops and all kinds of things within walking distance. They're just a bit more expensive. I only communicated with the marketing person and I think he was personable, knowledgeable, forthcoming, pleasant, and willing to try to work with me. The place was attractive, nice construction, and good floor plans.

I went to Willow Lake Place. The common areas were very welcoming, but the studio apartments were very dingy, dark, and very small. The staff was late for our appointment, and the appointment started about 20 minutes late. They weren't very attentive. It gave me an overall feel that if they weren't attentive to people that might be interested in their company, then they're probably not very attentive to the residents. We just toured the facility, and it was all one big common area. They had a dining room and a sunroom. We only saw two residents. There wasn't a lot of activity going on. We did not see any nurses. It looked like it was clean, but I was not impressed with the staff. I didn't see a lot of activity going on. When we left, there were two people coloring with an activity person, and that was it. The activities that we saw on their calendar would not be something that our parents would be interested in.

I like Willow Lake Place. They have a lot of things for dementia patients, and it looks like they're trying to keep them busy. They have shared rooms, which helps us in terms of payments, though I kind of had a single. Everybody's been really nice. I saw different stations, like laundry, workshops, and stuff like that, for the dementia patients (they get kind of get antsy and need something to do). It's very secure; you touch the door and an alarm goes off. They have a courtyard and they have all these little flower-garden areas. They also have a lake where they take their patients fishing if they're able. It looks really nice and well maintained.

My mother is in Willow Lake Place. It's very nice and I'm very happy with it. The staff is very interested in their clients and they seem to want to take good care of them. I haven't had any problems. The food is adequate. They don't do a lot in the memory care section, but they have puzzles, TV, bingo, several games, music, and there's piano playing.

This place is now called Willow Lake Place. If you value your loved one, don't leave them here. The care is horrible. The food is nasty, the place is not cleaned well, and all three directors are sub par. Two of them wouldn't know the truth if it hit them in the face. Activities? You will find a posting of activities on the memory care floor, but you won't typically find any activities happening. There are many employees who are fabulous and try hard to do what is right for the residents. Unfortunately, they are working against all odds. How this place is still on the top 13 is beyond me! Scary.....

It is a very nice facility, but I think the rooms were small. The long winding staircase reminded me of “Gone with the Wind”. The sunroom was beautiful, and the staff was wonderful. They did discuss the activity program. It was kind of pricey though.

I have a positive feeling with regards to it. The facility is very clean. Of all the ones I looked at, this facility is the best. I like that it seemed to be fairly small and looks like people knew everyone, the staff and the residents. The food was good.

I love the people here. The staff were very friendly. The facility is small, not too large, but very nice. The rooms are nice too. I know they have activities, but I am not familiar with what they do.

It was nice. I met the staff and another resident, and they took me on a tour. The memory care unit is set up so that they have a dining area, then they have another room where they do other things, and then just one big efficiency room. It was a newer, more modern building.

My mom is a current resident. We chose this facility for the location, the cleanliness of the facility, the interaction of the staff with their clients and the price. The place appears to be very clean. I haven't had any problem with them. I haven't tried eating there but my mother has gained 20 pounds ever since she moved in. She said the food is very good. She is getting along fine there.

It is a smaller facility so the nurses have time for individual care. This is right for my parents and it's a lot better than the independent care that they were getting at a previous facility. The food was okay and they seemed to like them. They have bingo and they have some light exercising. My parents are comfortable with the place. An area for improvement would be on the schedule of their staff, the receptionist goes home at 8:00 pm so it is a little bit harder to get hold of the people there.

The word "charming" best describes this lovely facility. They have one floor, I believe it was the third, that is entirely devoted to residents with memory problems. I visited this floor our of curiosity, since I do not have such problems, and I was very impressed. The residents were not kept in their rooms. The attendants allowed them almost complete freedom (on that floor) and just kept them safe and comfortable. They also had many activities that they took part in, which is something I had not seen in other facilities. Many times residents with memory issues are just being warehoused, with a pretty boring life style. These were active involved individual who happened to have memory problems. The rest of the facility is really lovely. The rooms are much homier and more personalized than most facilities I have visited. The staff seems to encourage the residents to add personal items and touches to their living quarters. The range of activities available here is really great. Exercise and dance classes, art, music, theater and all kinds of crafts. The nice thing is that the residents don't just watch the theater and music but they can also take part in it. One lovely lady I spoke with said that she had suggested several activities and her suggestions were taken very seriously by staff and administration and actually acted upon. I can envision this as a real "home" where I would feel safe in knowing that I would be given appropriate and excellent care should I encounter memory or other issues in later years. Definitely one of the best I have visited, and on my "short list."
