We chose them for our dad because it's close to my sister's house. When we were going around during the tour we couldn't go into anybody's facility to take a look and see how the place was laid out. Because of COVID we weren't allowed inside any of the buildings. The facility is nice, it's up to date, and they've just done some remodeling. We caught them where they had relieved some help, and we've had some issues with some of the staff, but now everything has been resolved. They had a cleaning of the house, so to speak, and everything's better now. They took the residents to the pumpkin patch, and they went someplace else, and it's just them without anybody else. Other than that they do the standard things like bingo, board games, and that kind of stuff in the building.

The Commons on Meridian is bright. It's not dark at all. They have good-sized rooms. They have a nice kitchen and bathroom area. The common areas are very nice too. They will do laundry for you or you can go to their resident laundry area if you like to do your own. They have a courtyard that's very nice. They offer respite care for a month minimum. The community was quiet, but they have a movie room for residents to go and watch movies together. They have an arts and crafts area. It was very nice. The dining room was not very nice, but everybody was very friendly. The sales director was very accommodating. The people that we met in the hallway all said hello, and so it seemed very friendly.

I loved them. It didn't look like a regular senior home, but an upscale hotel. That's the way it looks. The food was good. Instead of having the dining area look like a cafeteria, it looked like a restaurant. That day they were serving salmon. They have a movie theater room with theater seating, and a game room where they would do demonstrations in there like they'll have a chef come in or someone who will do crafts. They do game nights and happy hours, too. The lady gave us an activity schedule because they also have people come in and perform like jazz bands and artists. They have a gym where they let the residents do activities like beating on drums or playing and doing stuff. The staff was very nice.
