I toured Concordia Village, and that's where I want to go when I can't live by myself anymore. It is the most expensive place that we toured, but it was also the nicest. It had a saltwater swimming pool, a movie theater, a place to get your hair done, and a little shop where you can buy extra food and all kinds of amenities. The people were very, very nice. The grounds are huge and immaculate. You could have a studio apartment, which is very small, or you could have a one-bedroom, which opens up into a courtyard. It also has flowers and a little garden that is accessible from your room if you have a patio. They also have several spaces for people who want to have independent living. They also have a skilled section for people who need skilled nursing, but we didn't tour that part of it. It was wonderful, and I would like to go there when I have to go someplace. You can bring your car, you could have pet if you want a pet, and they have all kinds of activities. They have planned trips. You're free to come and go as you please, and you're free to have visitors whenever you want. After 8:00 p.m., they have to come through the main door, but other than that, they can come directly to your room from the side passages. They have a swimming pool that is really lovely. It is open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a lifeguard; after that, you have to bring your own lifeguard. The food was a "five." They have their own chef who makes special meals. They have really good food.

I toured Concordia Village and I would have to rate it a five because it's good. When you combine everything together with the overall cost it's a fantastic experience for what you're paying for. The staff has been very helpful. Like for example, my dad didn't have real furniture, and there was no TV or anything like that, and then the staff offered for him to use the TV and stuff in their guest quarters. He can just give it back after a month or so once his own stuff arrives. The level of consideration encourages people, and it was a big boost for us. The gentleman who accommodated us was the assistant manager and he was fantastic. They helped us out and did everything they could to get my dad settled. The dining area is very nice, and I think they have more than one. They have a lot of the same kind of activities my dad's current community has. During holidays they have activities as well. They have movie nights, a movie theater, a swimming pool with aquatic baths, and things of that nature.

Concordia Village was a nice place with supported living and a memory care unit. I didn’t take a tour of it, but I talked to their administrator. It seemed well organized, very clean because it was new, and a lot of staff around helping people. They had different levels of care; some people can have an apartment there and drive and everything, and then they have the mid-level people who can’t drive but can take care of themselves, and then Alzheimer’s care. It was very nice and brand new. There was one part that was built maybe 15 years before the rest, but it was nice. It had fountains of water and nice landscaping. It was close to shopping, not far from the mall at all, and the hospital was probably four or five miles away. I’ve seen a van around town with their logo on it.

Concordia was absolutely beautiful and excellent, but it was a little over my sister’s budget. It was gorgeous, beautifully painted and appointed with wonderful public rooms and activity rooms. I would definitely recommend them. They have a beautiful movie room with seats, a movie every night, popcorn, card rooms, and gym. They have different sections for different types and different apartments for people. They have several garden areas. All the employees, the waiters, and waitresses were dressed up. It was first class. We were served coffee and cookies, and it was delicious.

Concordia Village was one great big complex, which had a retirement home, assisted living, and a nursing home. It is the closest place to my home, and I can go and check on my mother. I'd live there if I could. The staff was very nice. I know people that are there, and they love it. The rooms were very nice. The atmosphere was very nice. It's not like a hospital at all. It's like an apartment. It's so popular that there is a waiting list.

Concordia Village is a facility that is operated by the Lutheran Church. My sister likes it there. The whole facility is roomy and clean. Their food is decent. They have quite a few activities. I would say, regarding staff, that they're a little above average. Overall, this facility is about at par with other facilities I visited; however, I think it is worth recommending to others.

The facility was gorgeous inside and out and it looked very clean. It did not smell very nice at all in the assisted living eating area. The main restaurant for the people who didn't live in the assisted living area was ok with the smell not being as bad. The assisted living rooms were small with not many amenities. Having the basics like a stove and fridge is important and all the rooms lacked both. Some residents were with it in terms of memory while others seemed to need way too much assistance and should have been in a nursing home and some residents having severe dementia. The beauty shop was nice and clean and had two nice clean looking girls working. While a few of the staff (I mean a very few) looked decent most looked threatening and thief like. Infact it looked as if some were on a prison work program. I told my mother that you have to look beyond the facility and really look at who will be taking care of her mother. Based upon the needy residents and the staff my mother decided it wasn't something she wanted to subject her mother to.
