Carriage Crossing of Rochester was very good. The actual apartment was very roomy. The facility was very clean. The lady that did the tour was very nice and pleasant. They have a salon, an activity room, and a beauty shop, but no pool (at least none that we were shown).

Carriage Crossing of Rochester appears to be a new facility. However, at the time I was there, I did not see any residents engaged in the activities. It's probably 3 to 4 years old. I toured the facility, and it looked to be fine. They had amenities, too. They had onsite physical therapy and an onsite beauty salon. The staff who gave the tour were very knowledgeable. They appeared to have been in this business a very long time.

Carriage Crossing of Rochester is absolutely amazing. The residential facilities are awesome. The meal plans are great because they have different options. I met some of the caretakers, and they all seemed super friendly and super respectful of the residents. I felt like it would be a safe place to put my father. The relations director is out on vacation, so the executive director is the one who eventually will give me the tour. I met with one of the care workers, and she kind of started the tour because the executive director was busy with another individual. They were awesome and very informative. They answered all my questions, and they were very caring because it was kind of emotional for me. The rooms were nice. My father would have to be in memory care, so there was a shared room or a single room. We are on the list for a single room, but we would be taking the shared room at this time because there's no single room available. Either way, they're all nice rooms. It's just that he can be kind of grouchy and mean in the evening, and I don't want somebody to have to put up with that. There were several activities. They will keep them active by using walkers, making them walk, and doing activities. They will use their minds by doing games and other participation activities. The amenities were great. They can do onsite lab work, so I don't have to take him across town just to have blood drawn. The main thing is medication dispensing, and they have a nurse on staff to do that. Everything seems great. There is an exercise room, library, and game room. There is a courtyard, and there are patios where they can sit off the kitchen to eat when it's nicer weather. Everything is a safe environment. There is a pond or waterway. I looked at the menu. In case my father doesn't like what's being served that night, they have options like cheeseburgers, hamburgers, and sandwiches. I like that feature because he'll probably like most of the meals, but there might be a night he doesn't. It's perfect because he can have a hamburger.

I like Carriage Crossing of Rochester. I like it because the room was a nice size. Not too big and not too small either. It was very well set up. The place was very clean. It didn't have any urine smell. It was a nice place. The residents that I saw looked like they were very happy there. They had a refrigerator and a microwave in the apartment. The staff who took me around was fantastic. She was a wonderful person to work with.
