My husband is staying at Accolade Healthcare of Peoria. The facility is very clean and friendly. They provide great care. They have wonderful staff members and kind nurses. My husband has a humongous private room. Their semi-private rooms are very nice, too. He had a wonderful roommate when he was there before. They have activities. They have a physical therapist and an occupational therapist, and they are very good. I see a lot of people in the activity room playing cards and doing puzzles.

My father has moved into Accolade Healthcare of East Peoria. They're doing everything and treat him pretty well. He likes it there. They have good food. They take pretty good care of him, so far. They're redoing all the rooms, too. They keep them pretty clean. He can't move, so they help him do that. They have him in therapy. I know they have a woman that comes around to the rooms if the patients can't go to wherever they have to. They cut their hair, beard, or whatever. They do a good job. He eats his food, and he likes it. From what I've seen so far, everything's been good. They take good care of their patients. His insurance is covering it. As long as my father is happy, that makes me happy. It must be good.

My brother-in-law is in here, but he's on Medicaid. It meant his choice of facilities was very limited. He's in skilled nursing because he's an amputee. We have visited him, and they are in the process of remodeling. When we went to his room a couple of weeks ago, it looked like the floor had not been swept for a while. We were kind of appalled and there was quite an odor from the bathroom. The staff is very friendly. I feel like they give him personal good care, but not the cleanliness of the room. The next time we go, I'm going to clean his wheelchair because I can't stand it. There's food caked on the arms of the chair. The people we've seen seemed happy. The dining area is newly remodeled. It's not plush, but it's very nice.

This place was absolutely abusive to my mother. The nurses cursed her out, they did not respect her bodily autonomy, they treated her like a piece of furniture and she now has bruises all over her body. Even when a friend came to get her they threw stuff at her head. Never send anyone here. They couldn't even give my mom the correct diet for her health issues causing even more health issues.

Dirty! That's the first word I would use to describe this place. The rooms used to be two bed but because of the HEPA act they can only allow one bed per room. The drawers and closets where we were expected to put her clothes were so old and smelly. If I had another place to take her at the moment, I would not have allowed her to stay. The therapy is awesome and the staff was accommodating. I'm happy with the progress she made during rehab but the condition of the building, property, and rooms was horrible. One example is just outside her window was a downspout that , when the wind blew, it crashed against the building. Another example is the daily cleaning - HORRIBLE. I would go everyday just to empty the trash, wipe the sink down, and clean her tabletops. If I could get my hands on a mop, I would have cleaned the floor, too. Why aren't our aging citizens treated better. Take a GOOD look at this place before you decide to put your loved ones there. Very disappointing! Please clean up this building and rooms.

The therapy department did an awesome job motivating my Dad. They worked with him and he was able to rehab and go back home. I am thankful for the care that the staff gave to my Dad. They also had music entertainment that he could have family and friends come in and enjoy with him at Happy Hour .Great place to rehab!!

My dad was at Heartland of Peoria for rehab. It seemed like they had good food and the place was clean. It seemed to be a nice place for him. Their dining room overlooks the woods and a creek, so they can watch the wildlife. It was set up good.

Our Dad's clothes among other things were stolen. We received no phone call back when we called to inquire where his clothes were at. His Doctor changed his diet from full liquid to pureed foods on 3-2-17 they never changed his chart and continued to give him just liquids for the next 5 days. Very disappointed.

They are very accommodating at Heartland. They ordered a special bed for my sister-in-law. She also has dietary restrictions, and they've tried very hard to meet those. Everyone has been very pleasant and helpful. She feels that the physical therapy is wonderful, and it's getting good results. The rooms are large. There's one bed per room with a bathroom in-between. They have flat-screen TV's and plenty of storage. It's a nice physical therapy department, and they seem to be doing a great job. She does eat her meals in her room. There's also a dining room, but you have a choice. So in her situation, it was nice to have a choice.
