Heartis is a beautiful community. You can tell the staff care about each community member. While at Heartis everyone I encountered was super friendly and easy to talk to. If I had a question they were fast to help me or find the person I needed to get my answer from. I feel like it is a great place for anyone loved one to call home.

I toured Heartis Village Peoria. I didn't like the layout where they had the hallway and everything ended at the kitchen on two different sides. I felt like the atmosphere was kind of depressing. Their assisted living is fabulous where they have high ceilings and lots of activities. And then it's like memory care is just an afterthought. They need to make memory care more cheerful and inviting. I also didn't like the nurse-to-resident ratio and that there was no RN on staff at night in particular. What they have is an LPN at night.

The apartments at Heartis Village Peoria were pretty good. They had 2-bedroom apartments. I think they had quite a bit of craft for activities. The staff who toured us around was nice. They should probably have more activities for men.

Heartis Village Peoria was very nice. The facilities were very top-of-the-line. I didn't meet a lot of the staff. I only met the one gentleman that took me for the tour. They had a cute little cafe. I don't know what their food was like, but it looked like a very, very nice place. The staff during the tour was so helpful.

Heartis Village of Peoria was beautiful. The people seemed very happy there, but it didn't have the level of care my dad needs. It's fairly new and lovely. The director was very nice and very kind. She said even if we didn't choose Heartis, she was willing to help us in any way she could with another place or even trying to get in-home care. They're very helpful. They showed us a room that was not furnished, but was carpeted. The bathroom was very nice. The shower was the same level. It's a nice sized room, but you had to bring your own furniture. The lobby area and their community area were very nice. I don't think there was one big dining room. There was a dining area for each hallway, so it was more of like family style. There were just a few small tables, but they were spacious. It was landscaped beautifully outside, and there were views of outside from many of the windows. It's very lovely.

My mom has moved into Heartis Village. The staff members are very nice and very accommodating. They have a lot of activities, but she hasn't done any yet. Her room is very clean and very nice. The food is delicious. They have a beauty shop and a place for arts and crafts. Most of the staff members are attentive.

I thought Heartis Village of Peoria was a fabulous, beautiful place. The staff that showed us around was delightfu and informative. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and well appointed with nice carpet and nice paint. It was bigger, so it's farther to get one from one place to another. If I was going to pick a place for myself, I think I'd go there.

Heartis Village of Peoria was a very visually appealing and vibrant community. It was clean, and it looked like a very nice place to be. The apartments were very nice and very appealing. They were clean and well appointed. The accommodations for dining looked very pleasant. The staff was extremely helpful and very eager to show us around. I was very impressed. It may merit further consideration when we are ready to take measures like this.

Heartis Village of Peoria was my favorite one. It was beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. I also looked at their dementia care portion. They're in a league of their own as far as their philosophy on how they address the needs of people with Alzheimer's. I spent most of my time looking at the dementia area and they're just fine tuned to each individual. They determine what their interests were. They have a kitchen, and if they like to cook or something like that, they would actually have them help, not with the cooking, but maybe preparing or setting tables. They really seem to try to bring some daily activities into what their interests were and they try to pair them with people who were maybe at the same stage, if they might have things in common. They had a room for sundowners, which was a very peaceful room with some music and lights. Their science of the disease just seemed to be leaps above the other facilities, but they're sort of topnotch in their approach to that.
