I am so happy here. It is quiet and peaceful. There is a large patio area and meandering walkway around the complex to get my exercise. The staff provides a food pantry and even delivered eggs and milk for free. It is in a convenient place close to shops and restaurants. The other residents are kind and nice. I. Enjoy my life here!

Sister's Villa is located on what was a beautiful piece of property. It is now becoming unsightly due to maintenance negligence. The atmosphere is almost unbearably negative. The staff is insolent, curlish and derisive. The quality of repairs is questionable at best. The maintenance person is irascible and tetchy, resulting in apprehension in the event of having an encounter with this person. The manager is a prevaricator and the maintenance person is mendacious. There are no activities and all the amenities listed are no longer available to the residents. There is a resource specialist person who seems to be doing an excellent job providing some assistance to the residents. The apartments have serious ventilation problems resulting in odors and noise coming through in the bathroom and the stove hood vents. Therefore, you cannot have a private conversation in your apartment because your neighbors can hear what is being said through the vents.

We were thinking of getting my mother in law to a facility that has a retirement community with an assisted living so when she progresses the transition would be easier. Right now she is able to take care of herself. I visited Sister's Villa and it's not a retirement home. It's a Section 8 apartment. You need to be able to cook for yourself. They have no activities. She is fairly independent but she needs activities to keep her busy. You have to walk distances there and my mother-in-law can only walk a block since she is on a walker. So, I think this facility is not a good fit for her.

While not an assisted living facility, this apartment living provides many amenities to assist an aging population. They provide a computer center, carts for moving groceries from the car to the apartment, a recreation room with big screen t.v., and apartment to apartment telephones.
