What we loved about Edgewood Spring Creek - Eagle was that the staff was just wonderful. The director was so knowledgeable and very caring. They don't have a turnover in the staffing. The director had been there 13 years and that makes the difference. That's what I was attracted to with this place. It's a smaller place. They only had 32 residents, so it was nice. It was excellent. What stood out was the staff and the longevity of the staff. The activity director had been there forever and she had this wonderful party going when we got there and we surprised them. We didn't let them know we were there. I talked to some of the residents and they had a lot of wonderful things to say. It's very cheery and bright. We were going to switch mom to there, but she refused to move. The studio apartment was clean, bright, painted, and had a nice carpet. It was nice and close to the dining room. According to the residents, the food was good. They brought in emotional support dogs that worked with the residents there. That was kind of a nice thing, too. I was impressed. It's a lot older than what we were used to, but it was a very nice place. I would have liked to have tried it. I liked the fact that it was smaller.

My mothers right to choose what physician she sees has been removed by the facility. They promised us that mom had the "right" to choose any physician she feels comfortable with, but now they are pushing us to switch to AllCare, which is owned by Spring Creek. It is a sad day when profits and greed are more important than the "rights" we were promised.

Nobody was there to meet us at Spring Creek Eagle. The girl who did the tour was informative enough and did a good job, but it was not what we expected. We were just shown one room, and it was a little smaller than what we needed, but it was clean. They didn't have a big, beautiful lobby like most places have; it was just a plain, ordinary, home setting. There was not a lot of seating in the lobby greeting area. It had more family-style dining. We were there when they were preparing food, and everything looked nice, clean, and was presented well.
