My mom went to the memory care facility on a daycare basis. They welcomed her with open arms, they were competent, clean,, very caring, and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them. The facility was clean, and all the residents seemed happy.

The Cottages of Boise only had a double room that was twice the price. It's a small facility. It's a 16-bed facility, and they seem like they know the residents. The layout had the living room and kitchen in the central part of the facility. They had memory care. They had a salon, activities, and outings.

We like The Cottages of Boise. The caregivers seem to do a good job, are fairly attentive, and they help my loved one with her needs. It was secure and in a country setting so it's quieter; plus they don't have many residents there, so she seems to get a lot of attention. She has a private room with her own bath and enough space for all of her furniture, so it's like she's right at home. With communication, they could do a little bit better job of being able to get to the right person to communicate on a shift change. I would recommend this place.

One of the reasons we decided on going to The Cottages is it's a very small facility with just a few residents and we felt like it would be easier for my mother-in-law to make a transition to a place like that than in some place where there was 75 or 80 residents. They provide housecleaning and all her meals. They also have exercise and recreational programs and they are doing her medications for her. We had dinner there last week and it was good.

The employees of the facility were very kind and friendly. The facility was very clean and didnt feel shut out from the rest of the world. Residents are free to walk around and carry on easily day to day. The staff seemed very experienced and very knowledged. Schedules are used at the facility which is nice to know that time is managed wisely. The area seemed very large and has great amounts of space for any kind of activity. Visitors are welcome at visiting hours which is great (dont have to worry about calling in first so they can try to make everything look perfect when it might not like some other places) They are certified with many medical procedures (CPR) I wasnt told a whole lot about how the financial things are taken care of, what kind of insurance they accept and dont accept. Didnt get an age requirement. only thing that bothered me was that the building didnt seem to get enough sunlight going into the building and i feel that it is very important for some residents so they dont feel like this place is the end for them.
