My father moved into Kina 'ole Estate Elima, Ltd. So far, it's so good. I think he's adjusted well to the location. The decision came down to the size of the facility. My father didn't want a lot of people. They only have eight residents that they're caring for. It's all kinds of care. He's taking his medicine every day, eating every day, drinking properly, and getting some exercise. It's been good. The staff members are excellent. It's all private rooms. They have a small yard and a walkway that walks around the perimeter. They have a small fish pond. The residents can go outside, which has a tropical feel to it. The living area has a bunch of chairs, a large TV, and small dining tables. They have a schedule of activities every day. It varies depending on the schedule posted on a monthly calendar. My father eats three meals a day, and he wasn't always doing that while living on his own. It's ideal for the type of care that my father needs.

Kina 'ole Estate Elima is a beautiful estate. It's very spacious and open. It's totally designed for taking up to eight residents there. Each resident has their own room, and their own bath and shower, which is very large. They also have activities that they schedule throughout the day, anything from arts and crafts, to hula, to games. They also go on excursions. They cook all their own food there for the residents. Visitors are allowed. The residents we talked to were extremely happy and even wanted to share their rooms with us so we could see. It's designed for wide open spaces and activities. The staff members are all caring and kind. With regards to food, they cater to not just a set menu, they are able to adjust for the residents.
