My brother has both physical and mental disabilities. Beth and staff have gone the extra mile to care for and love Charlie. He loves the home, the wonderful outdoor areas, the activities, his room, and especially the food. Though he has some mild dementia at this point in time, the staff is very gentle and loving in their care for him. The family especially appreciates the fact that is in a home that has residents with no dementia. We believe his daily interaction with other normal residents stimulates Charlie in ways that would not occur in a total dementia facility. He enjoys his interactions with the other residents. KinaOle is just a wonderful place that the family and Charlie truly appreciate!

It's been about a week and Mother is having a little hard adjusting to new environment (Not Home). Kina Ole staff is patiently assisting her thru this time. Still waiting for okay to visit her in new home.

I got to tour Kina Ole Estate. The best thing that I like about it is that the units were small, and five seniors can live in each unit. They have their own caretakers and managers for each unit, and the place was quiet. The only thing I didn't like too much was the location because when you're retired, you'd like a place that's nice and serene. But here if you're a senior and you go outside, there's nothing to look at. But overall, I like the facility, the staff was friendly, and they provide a lot of assistance. They have activities and they would take them to the shopping centers.

We went to Kina Ole Estate. It was very reputable. I liked them. It was a smaller setting, which I preferred. They were very thorough in their interview and the walk through the place. The only drawback is, and they're all pretty much the same is the price, it starts around $8,000. And so that was the real clincher as far as making a move at that time. The staff was very professional, very thorough, and answered all our questions. They showed us the facilities, the rooms and the bathrooms, the gathering place where all the patients come together, and the private amenities as well. I liked it because it was a smaller place and it was clean.

Kina Ole Estate was a little nicer than the other place I visited, but it was more expensive. It's newer, so it was more modernized. The rooms and everything were a lot newer. The staff was excellent and very well informed. The rooms were very nice and modern. They're more of apartment-style. They had a gathering area outside. The outside area, the kitchen area, the dining, and the service that they were giving to the residents were nice. We didn't see too many of the functions going on because we were coming in at a certain time, but they always had some kind of activity, so that was good.

Kina Ole Estate was more like a big house. There's plenty of parking there, but it's more like a house. It doesn't have that many people living there compared to the others, but it looked like a nice and friendly place. You have your own bedroom. It's a homey kind of place. If you like to take walks, then that is a nice place, because it has bigger grounds and you can actually walk around the place. They can put the people in groups and walk. If you're more mobile, you have more freedom to walk around. I called the staff and she met me, gave me a tour, and introduced me to the people. They're nice and friendly people. They keep you busy. They do bingo, they play cards, play games, color, and draw. They had an outside garden where they could go out and plant stuff. They are tuning into what the older people like to do. It's a good place.

Aloha! I needed to find a place on the windward side of Oahu for my sister. She has severe dementia. She was too much for me to care for any longer. Beth and her staff were really great in explaining things to me so i could understand the process and the level of care my sister would receive. She has her own very spacious room with a big bathroom. She has 24/7 care and the people there are so nice! I am so thankful for Kina'ole! I woudn't want to have my sister anywhere else.

I visited Kina Ole Estate, but it wasn't right for my father. It was a beautiful facility in the heart of Kaneohe. And near the mountain, so it's very private. However, I just don't think that it provided the assisted living care level that my father needed. The staff who assisted me during the tour was very informative and asked a lot of questions. However, finance-wise, they gave me a very vague answer; level of care, they gave me a vague answer. Everything was too vague for me to feel comfortable putting my father into a care home like that. The facility looked nice, it was a typical Hawaii bungalow room.

We really liked Kina Ole Estate, and we really liked the tour. The staff member was really informative and she took us all around. The facility was clean, she showed us the room, and we liked it; she also introduced us to one resident. When we went there the residents were already up and watching TV; there were at least four of them. Everything looks good so I definitely want it for my mom. The size of the room is perfect. At first they said that everybody would have their own private room and I didn't like that because I didn't want my mom to be alone. But it was really comfortable; it wasn't small at all and was just right, and all the rooms open up to the public area, which I like. We saw the menu on the wall and what the food was for the day. We liked it and we were impressed. They said that they have fresh fruits and vegetables all the time, which is good. The woman that helped me was really nice.

Beth and her team are the best! I'm a friend and neighbor to a resident of Kina'ole Estate. Beth took so much care in helping to educate my firend and her family and with the transition to her new home. The level of care is more than we could've ever imagined. I would highly recommend Kina'ole Estate to anyone in need of assisted living or memory care.

My mother is living at Kina ‘Ole Estates. The rooms are really nice, but I do not think they have enough activities for the residents. The staff is pretty good. The facility is clean, and it is a nice looking place.
