Lakeview Manor was a small place with about 10 residents, so it was not a big facility. Yet, it was not too small that if she did not like the other residents, there were other people she could still talk to. I liked the location because it was in the middle of nowhere. They had a very nice lake with a gazebo where they went to sit or fished. There was also a nice wooded area around it. The only drawback was it took about 15-20 minutes to drive to town for shopping. Mom had a private room with a window that looked out to the lake, a good-sized closet, twin bed, dresser and side table. Although, we brought her own bed in. They did not have television service in the room so I provided for her. I preferred it if the private rooms had bathrooms but they did not have. All the bathroom were in the hallway and shared by everybody. They had two aides in the morning and one at night. I did not see any scheduled or planned-out activities. The residents did whatever they felt doing like puzzles, coloring or dance to music. They mostly stayed in the television room. She kept complaining about the food and there were a lot or repairs underway.

The setting is beautiful. There's a winding drive that leads to a tranquil lake complete with Mallards that breeze across the water at their leisure. There's a short covered pier that has a gazebo at it's end and a covered porch with rocking chairs...but that's where the beauty stops. Inside is a boss-lady that has ZERO compassion for her "residents". I know because my Mother stayed there briefly. I also know she cried and begged me to move her, which I did. My Mom is now in Heaven with Jesus so I don't have to remain silent any longer. DON'T put your loved one down there.
