I'm at Overture Barrett. With the virus, you don't see many people around, and it's very empty when you go in. They're all in their rooms I would think. Other than that, I just sit down there by myself, and wait for my lift to come at the front door, and that's it. I stay in my room the rest of the time. It's not kind of normal right now. Everyone wears a mask, and everyone goes back to their rooms. The staff is very helpful. The manager is very nice. When you sit down in the waiting area in the front door for your lift to come along, he asks if you'd like some coffee or tea or anything. He's a very nice gentleman. They have a happy hour from 4:00 to 6:00 from Monday to Friday. They have little parties if someone is celebrating. They can invite people who they want to, and I have been to one. However, the rooms are very small. I just have a 1-bedroom, and it's tiny. There's not much cupboard space for hanging your clothes. If you get a 2-bedroom, I'm sure it would be bigger but the 1-bedroom is tough. There's only one medium size closet for your clothes, and that is it. You can't hang them up in the bathroom. It's just a door, then you walk into your tub. It has a kitchen, and it's basic. There's nothing fantastic. I haven't had much to do with the staff. They do their work, and they just talk to you. They're very nice and accommodating. They don't provide food. You're on your own, but you have all the facilities here, a microwave and an oven, and it's all brand new.

I love Overture Barrett 55+ Apartment Homes. The staff told me it was $1799, but when I got the paperwork, it said the starting rate for a one-bedroom, one-bath, 701 square feet is $1849. It's got a heated pool and you can grow your own herbs and whatever, and it's close to everything, close to my hospital and to the VA Hospital. One thing I don't like about it, since they are apartments, you have to pay for your own utility like your own water and light. The people who assisted me were excellent. The cleanliness was excellent.

I toured Overture Barrett 55+ Apartment Homes. That place had some beautiful apartments, except it had really no food service, and I really did feel like I needed it. That was worse, and they were planning on making changes. Everything else was great. They didn't seem to have as many social activities like crafts and cards and stuff like that. It was more like a 55-plus apartment building, but I wanted a little bit more. The prices were higher, too. They didn't really offer any meals. I don't consider bagels once a week or yogurt once a week for breakfast any kind of meal plan. I can do that myself. I wanted something that I wasn't going to have to cook and clean up. The staff that I met and walked with was nice.

We went to Overture Barrett 55+ Apartment Homes. I like the programs that they had available for the seniors as well as the size of the apartments were very suitable. They weren't tiny apartments, which was great. The bedrooms were a nice size, and they had lots of activities that they presented for the seniors as well. The open and common space was nice, and everything was clean and welcoming.

Overture Barrett 55+ Apartment Homes was totally independent. The location was really, really good, but I didn't like the cost. It was a little pricy. The staff was really good. The facility was kind of new. The dining area was really nice. The rooms were really nice and they had choices. They had the one- and two-bedrooms. They had the option of having a library. They have washer and dryer connections. I like the inclusivity of it in that maintenance for all the appliances was included. Overall, it was really nice. It was very warm, welcoming, and laid back. It looked like everybody was really enjoying themselves. They were playing cards and watching TV. They had a calendar of events.

I visited the Overture Barrett 55+ Apartment Homes and the layout is great. They have a swimming pool, which was great, and it was heated to 80 degrees. They had continental breakfast, I think Mondays through Fridays but other than that, they do not serve food except maybe on special occasions. They have a washer and dryer in their apartments. They're wheelchair accessible and both were front loaders, which was great for me. The counters were also lower in both the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom had all of the bars so I would have felt safe there. It had large closets and the kitchen had a refrigerator. It also had a balcony. I wanted to go there but the apartment that was available was not wheelchair accessible so I had to wait. The staff was friendly and wanted to help meet your needs.

I am currently at Overture Barrett 55+ Apartment Homes. It is really expensive here. One thing that me and my daughter found out was you cannot control the temperature here, they control it. Sometimes in these places, it is so cold. As a matter of fact, I'm sitting up here with a blanket over me right now because the air conditioning is so cold. The room is good though, the place is really nice, and the dining area is really clean. They have water aerobics twice a week, a workout room, yoga every morning at 11:00, a movie night, poker night, karaoke, then drinks on Wednesday evenings.

I visited Overture Barrett, but they were above my budget, and I could not afford them. It was OK, but it didn't have all the amenities some of other senior places. The environment around the place is OK if you have transportation, but it's not like walking in a park, because it's mostly businesses around there. I saw two apartments that were vacant and they seemed OK. One was small and the other was more spacious, because it had a den. It was clean, but for the money they're charging, I expected a little more. There's a place where you can get your hair done, and they're going to have someone come in and give massages in the future. The young lady that showed me around was very nice, very professional, and she was very likeable. They do not serve food there.

Overture Barrett was an awesome place with a modern feel and awesome layout. The food was awesome, and overall it was all excellent. I would rate everything about this place a 5-star except for the prices, that was the only thing. The simple one-bedroom started at $1,700. The person, Denise, who gave me the tour was awesome and was very knowledgeable of everything. She kept in contact with me until I finally made my own decision.

We liked the building of Overture Barrett but we didn't like the area where it was located because it was too congested. The appearance was clean, new, and fresh, and I like the wide hallways. The personnel and residents were very friendly so there's no problem there at all. The lady showed us the variety of rooms offered and all of them seemed roomy and spacious enough. We saw the exercise room and they take vans on excursions or short trips from time to time.

Overture Barrett is a very nice community, but at the age of 90 I don't need any bells and whistles. Everyone there would be my children's age. The staff was very nice, I have no objection to anything. The location is fine and the place is very new; everything is nice. For what they offered, I thought that the price is reasonable. They're a top-notch place.

Overture Barrett is an over-55 community in a brand-new building. It's like a beautiful art gallery, and the staff is so nice. They have lots of activities every day, a beauty and nail salon, and serve breakfast in the morning. The dining area is like a very nice restaurant. They have a beautiful swimming pool area.
