My mother has been a resident of Gaines Park for 3 1/2 years. I had heard good things about GP from reliable sources but visited 3 other assisted living facilities prior to visiting GP. Several things stood out to me: continuity of the staff, homey atmosphere as opposed to formal hotel like setting, various activities almost daily, church services on Sunday and friendly staff. Since Mom moved to GP they have undergone expansion & remodeling. It's a beautiful place for Mom. My brother & I are grateful our mother is safe & receives care from staff who are now like family.

The welcome you with big arms and promises only to hand select and turn away seniors if they need more care. They promised to help in “anyway” they could. After getting it set up, paperwork and lots of promises was told this facility was NOT a memory care facility! Huge disappointment

I thought Gaines Park Senior Living was nice when I toured. I'm leaning towards them as opposed to the other places that I've been. The guy who showed me around, Austin, was nice and did a good job of showing us the place. The place was spotless, spic and span, and really nice. So I've got a room picked out for my mom. They've got a fellowship hall for dining, they have a wall that folds up and they can have a really big room then. They've got arts and crafts room to keep from making a mess in the fellowship hall, there's a beauty salon, and they've got a garden area. They're set up like a square so it's hard to get lost in the place. They don't furnish the rooms for you, the other place I went the rooms had a mini fridge and a little microwave.

I had an in-person tour of Gaines Park Senior Living. Everything was inclusive. The only thing I didn't particularly like about this one was the studio. It was awfully small. The staff members were great, very accommodating, and answered my questions. The facility was very neat and clean. They had a courtyard.

I toured Gaines Park for my mom. They have a beautiful area. I thought it is very nice. There have a new area that the staff took me to that is very nice. They have many activity areas. They have the rocking chair and they have a good area for that.

I was really happy with the facility. Everytime I visited it was clean and didnt have that nursing home smell. The staff kept the residents active with different activities. All the residents were really friendly and seemed happy. Each room was individually climate controlled so the resident could maintain their own comfort level. There were activities planned. i participated in several Bingo nights and had a great time. There were crafting occasions. There were worship services. There are a couple residents that had musical talent and shared those talents with everyone. SInging and playing the piano. My grandmother never complained of the food. The nursing staff were always willing to help where needed. The laundry services were exceptional and she never had clothes come up missing.

I visited this facility on more than one occasion in the last month. The reason for the visit was for a class that I am taking at a university near the assisted-living home. When driving up, my initial impression of the home was a good one. They have very good scenery, and it is apparent that they take good care of it from the outside. When I walked in, I had the same impression. The staff that I met was very nice, and I could tell that they were very happy to be there, and they were very friendly to the people who live in the facility. Once I met some of the staff and some of residents, I took a tour of the place and looked at some of the rooms. The rooms looked like they were perfect for someone in the home. Although they were somewhat small, they had everything a resident could need, including a phone, a bathroom, a television, a thermostat and a comfortable bed. The layout of the home was a square with a courtyard in the middle, so that added to the scenery as well. After the tour, I engaged in an exercise session with some of the residents and had a great time socializing with them. I have been back to Gaines Park a few times after that to help them with their exercise class. Although I was not there to find a home for a family member, I know that I would feel comfortable letting one of my family members live there if I had to make that decision.

This is one of the centers i visited when i was looking to put my father in a home. I visited everyday for an entire week and everyday i saw many activities being offered. For example Sunday I observed bible study and a small church service that lasted an hour or two. it seemed many of the seniors enjoyed the service. i know they enjoyed it by the way they all would sing along, reading and asking questions.
