I'm living at Southern Heritage PCH. I'm in quite a small room and it's insufficient, but they are building new buildings here which are larger. I'm getting one of those as soon as it's ready. I don't like the food, and I've been having some problems with my drug distribution. The staff members are good, nice and helpful. The place is clean. They are cleaning all the time around here. It's a good 5 or 6 miles to the hospital, and there are restaurants around there.

When I was in Southern Heritage I only saw two staff-members in the memory care building, although they don't have more than 20 patients at a time because it's a small community. The rooms are a fairly decent size, but the common area spaces are extremely small. There doesn't seem to be a focus on enriching activities like physical therapy or engaging activities to help with memory issues. I did see that they do puzzles, but their activity room is the same place they eat. Other than that, the patients seem well taken care of. There was no smell, signs of abuse, or anything of that nature. They just don't have the space to keep the patients as engaged as I would like to see. They typically have double-room units which are shared between two people.
