My mother-in-law has moved into Antebellum Arlington Place Senior Living. We chose them just by viewing the residents that were already there, they seemed very happy and talkative. The place was very clean. It wasn't sterile. It looked more like a place where you could feel at home. The staff are very friendly, smiling, and very helpful. Maintenance helped us move in, which was nice. They helped unload the U-Haul. I give them a 10 out of 10. The food looks wonderful. I have not eaten there but I've seen the food. My mother-in-law is eating it and she's from up north, and her eating southern food is a miracle. The food looks very appealing; it is spot on. They do activities. I've seen the singing groups there. And when I did the walk-through, they were doing games and everything in the common area and all the residents looked like they were having a blast. The facility was very clean and very nice.

I toured Antebellum Arlington Place Senior Living and I didn't like the carpet on the floor because it holds a lot of odor. I could smell it. To me, it was like an upper-class nursing home because you can smell the odor and urine. The tour guy was very nice and friendly.

The lady who showed us around Antebellum Arlington Place Senior Living was very nice. The facility is older. Therefore, it didn't have as much appeal. It's older inside and out. So, nothing's updated. They didn't provide the things you put around your neck to call if you fall. The dining area was OK. The atmosphere of the place was good. It looked clean.

What I liked about Antebellum Arlington Place Senior Living was that it's right downtown and they don't seem to have any level of care fees that come out of nowhere like some of the others do. Everything seems to be included in one price and they're willing to work with you on the community fee. We mainly toured the memory care and we were told that you have to bring your own furniture, like a bed, a chest, a drawer or something to furnish a bedroom. The lady that gave the tour was very helpful, very friendly, and answered all my questions. She gave me a card. The facility seems clean, but some of the long hallways were kind of sterile like it's a facility as opposed to more of a home, but it's a large facility so of course, they're going to have long hallways like that.

Antebellum Arlington Place Senior Living needed some updating. The place was very nice, but I wasn't crazy about the area that it's in. They had large rooms and a lot of activities. The residents were doing flower arrangements in a nice patio area. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and very knowledgeable.

I went to Antebellum. It was nice. The people that worked there were very friendly. It was clean and nice. My dad had stayed there many years ago. My mother liked it at first; but then when they didn't have a private shower, she kind of turned against that. Other than that, it was a nice place. They had a lot of activities going on, which is a good thing. The rooms were nice size. The staff was polite. The residents were all out in the TV room, and some of them were watching TV and some were playing cards. They do stuff on just about every day. If you want to do it, you can participate. You don't necessarily have to, but they encourage it, which I think is good to encourage the older people to get out and mingle (so to speak). They have music on certain days, and they cook hamburgers outside. You get to bring your own furniture, so you can make the room as nice as you want to. It's plenty big enough for a loveseat, a twin bed, and a chest drawer. You make it what you want. You furnish it and decorate it how would you like. They have an outdoor area that's really nice. It has a bunch of flowers. The dining area is nice. It is kind of a cafeteria style. It is just big room. It looked like everybody was pretty peaceful. They were doing different things, but the residents looked like they were happy. It was pretty good.

Antebellum on Arlington Place is a very pleasant place. My mom likes it and is really doing well there. They're doing therapy with her, and their meals are excellent, so she is eating a lot better. She's very happy, and the staff is great. They recently upgraded. My mom has a private room that hey fixed up nicely with a the little vanity with a granite top Mom loves the activities, like musical groups, storytellers, and field trips to things that are going on in Macon; today they were having a fashion show of the LouLaRoe clothing for them. They really try hard to make everything pleasant. We were really pleased. The staff go out of their way to do nice things that they don't have to do.

I didn’t think it was very clean. When you walk in the door, you would smell perfume, but then further down the hallway, it smelled more like urine. It went under new management. I went down there, and it was bad or worse than it was when my loved one was there. They never kept her medication correct. The food was OK if you like chicken. That was their main menu. They did have bingo and other activities, but that’s all she would go to.

What we are really pleased with here it is that they have different sections for the different type of care you need. They have six different categories to fit whichever situation. It's not like they put everybody in the same group. The staff is very good. They have an activities director who has different things going on every day for them to participate in. The food is good. They usually give you two choices. It's not the greatest in the world, but you do have choices. My mom has been living there for about two and a half months. Most of the rooms share a bathroom. It's one thing I'm not too crazy about. It would be nice if it was separate.
