My mom has been at Moore Care for several years now. We're pretty satisfied with where she is. I think she's been there the longest more than anybody. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last 2009 and we were new to it all. We just had to scramble really quickly and find a place. The first place we had didn't work out at all. With Keisha, it works for us. It's not also far from where we all live. When I was there, I've seen the food. It looks pretty good. I would eat there but that's for the residents. Mom is on a particular type of diet but then they do a little appetizing kind of meal, not bland. She has trouble swallowing so she prefers soft stuff. They also exercise range of motion but my mom is unable to do all that stuff. I don't think she's able to walk that far anymore. She's in her wheelchair now. But they get her up the walker and walk her up and down the front of the facility, that's probably the best that she can do. We just get her in and out of there. My mom has come to life. Couple of times she's been in the hospital, wasn't even talking and we were already making arrangements to bury her. She went back to Moore Care with hospice. They spent with her a little more time and more care has really brought the best out of her. I can't thank them enough for what they've done to my mom. I'd refer people there if they ask me a place for their elderly parent or loved one. We're happy with them. I'll give them 5 plus stars.

I toured Moore Care ALF. It's average. Riviera Beach is known for crime and lower class income people, so it's not all that enticing to want to be there. I feel uncomfortable being there, but it's not to say I wouldn't go back. I'm not afraid of that city. The interior inside is quite large. I was really surprised how it's laid out, and there's a lot of rooms that can be private time if you want to get away from it all. There's a game room and a TV room combination, which is nice. They have a card table where they play cards, and it seems to be very nice. And all the bedrooms are kept clean and tidy, and the beds are made and everything. The staff member who gave the tour was very professional, patient, and informative. I enjoyed talking with her. I met some CNAs and they seemed to be very friendly, too.

Moore Care is like heaven here on earth. Everything is fantastic. I love it there and my husband does too. He has dementia so he thinks he works there. He was a security guard before therefore he thinks he's security. He just fits in and loves the people there. I'm so happy to see my husband getting great care. I've seen the food too and watched them eat. It smells so good. They have activities there as well. They have art and play domino and bingo. Matter of fact, he runs the bingo. He thinks he's in charge of it. It's like another world for him and for me. His room is gorgeous. He has a roommate, and they get along perfect. They have a TV in there. My husband has his nice bed, a dresser with all his clothes and stuff in there. It's ALWAYS so neat when I go in there. In addition, Keisha is so caring and loving. She takes all of us like family. She calls me every day to make sure me and my sisters are fine, that I work on time and I get back home. She's been asking about my sisters too. It's difficult for me to be home alone without him but to drive up there and see that he's happy, it makes me happy. I've never seen a place like this. It's absolutely phenomenal.

My mother loved Moore Care more than life itself. She ran the place, I'd put it that way. They did everything she thought she want it done. I wanted her to go there because the location is in a very decent home atmosphere area. The house is just beautiful and so clean. My mother was a clean freak and everything has to be spotless. That's why she loved it because Keisha kept that place so clean. I've had dinner there with my mother. The food was excellent. In the area where they ate, most ladies go in and have talks. She liked bingo so they have that and sometimes I sit with them. My mother was really religious so I brought her a tape and she played her gospel tapes because it's hard for her to read. I also taped when I read the Bible. I told Keisha when I get old enough I want to be right there with her. That's the place that I pick for myself already. It's a really good place. I don't think my mother would have ever left if she had been there.
