My mother has been a resident for over a year after spending 11 months at two other facilities. Palms Edge is much nicer than her two previous locations. My mother is clean and cared for, staff is friendly and gets to know both the residents and their families. When an issue arises, they are quick to notify as appropriate, with explanations; this can be a medication change, a minor injury, or other problems. I have been there at various times, during and outside of business hours and have never had an issue that was not quickly and correctly resolved. The facility director and nursing director are both very knowledgeable and accessible to the residents and families. I'm very thankful that we found Palms Edge to care for my mother as her health is declining.

My tour of Palms Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care was very good. The staff was very professional and caring. They were very good and very detailed. The rooms that I saw were OK. They were not as fancy as some of the other assisted living places we had gone to. They were a little bit smaller, but they were very clean. The interaction that we had with the residents and the staff was very, very good. We were there during lunchtime. They were just starting to feed the residents. They had sandwiches, chips, and other things that looked good. It looked appealing, but we didn't eat there. The atmosphere was calm and safe. They had activities scheduled. We just didn't see any at the time because of the timeframe that we were there. They could probably improve a little bit more on the facility itself. It's an older facility. They have kept up with it as much as they can. Sometimes you can't do much more with an older facility, but it looks like they have been trying.

Palms Edge Assisted Living and Memory Care was awful. It was like a very rundown nursing home. The staff was average at best. The assisted living and memory care were pretty much intermixed, so I visited both. They had very few amenities. They had a salon, outdoor court if you can get out there, they have transportation, and they work with the VA. That's really about it. It was very limited. I didn't see too much going on. The rooms were not very good. It was under construction. They said they were improving the facility, but it was very dingy. I didn't stay there very long. It wasn't a very nice place. It's not a good part of town either. I wouldn't put any of my family members there.

We didn't really like Palms Edge. It was pretty small with only two hallways and a main dining room. For the price, it didn't seem like a good fit. They need to improve on cleanliness. There were a few activities but for the size of the area, there wasn't really anything for them to do. Nobody seemed really active. They were all in the one small room that didn't seem very welcoming. They also showed us a very dirty, empty room. They serve three meals a day, had a fenced-in yard, a smoking area, a library and a game room. They didn't have much room in the building itself and it smelled of urine and was not very clean. The receptionist was very nice, but the manager we spoke to came across like a very pushy car salesman.

Palms Edge was small and clean, but it was not what we were looking for because it was more assisted living. We were looking for a small apartment. However, the staff was very nice. The residents were more in need of assistance.

My mom has been there for 5 years. The staff has been really wonderful. My mother can be a handful. she will not leave her friends or the staff for love nor money.

I was put in charge of placing my grandfather in an assisted living facility, in which we chose Palms Edge and couldn't be happier! He has been there for almost 2 years and he is happy and better than he's been in years. The staff is very attentive and the facility is a nice home-like environment. I would highly recommend Palms Edge!

This is a very comfortable home for my parents, they have lived here for several years and I can honestly say they are happy. They have put on weight, their more out-going, great activities and I have tried the food on more than one occasion without complaints. The in-house doctor is very attentive and keeps me update with any changes on my parents and they are not over-medicated. I would highly recommend this place for any relative

Clean, quaint facility that provides good meals and nice activities but that's all for the positive. Staff do not know their residents, are reluctant to share information with family, do not keep residents' hygiene caringly or properly, misplace or steal personal belongings, and worst of all significantly over medicate.
