We are so happy that we found Azalea Oaks Place for my grandmother. From the moment we walked in we knew our search was over. It is a beautiful place with a homey feel. After meeting Dena the owner we felt at ease. You can tell she really loves the elderly and her staff and residents seem very happy. We smelled cookies baking in the oven for the residents and it just seemed like a home. Love that it doesn't look like a hospital. We knew we wanted my grandmother in a small place so that she would get more personalized care. You won't regret putting your family member in Azalea Oaks Place.

About Azalea Oaks Place Assisted Living - CLOSED in Plant City, Florida
At Azalea Oaks Place seniors are our passion! This passion is evident throughout our elder-centered facility. We are committed to creating an environment that avoids the three plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom that many seniors suffer from.
From our caring staff, beautiful home-like setting, the smell of delicious freshly prepared meals and baked goods to our spontaneous, enjoyable activities, and visits from children and a small lovable dog it is obvious that the happiness of our residents is our #1 priority.
I have always had a special love for the elderly. It has long been a dream of mine to create a community where my elders will receive the best care and be able to live out their lives with dignity and enjoyment. They have spent a lifetime collecting memories, knowledge, and experiences. My staff and I greatly enjoy hearing their stories. My dream has come true! Dena Martin – Owner

WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL
Visitors are always blown away by the home-like feel and beauty of our facility. Our residents truly love their home away from home. Our residents feel this way because at Azalea Oaks Place we practice “culture change” (see pioneernetwork.net). In a nutshell this means that our residents are the boss.
Most large facilities are institutionalized and the residents are just a room number and made to follow a schedule. Our residents have choices! They can sleep-in, stay up late, eat when they want, and help choose what’s on the menu. They are even encouraged to help prepare meals if they want to. After all that’s how they lived before they came hear!

My mother lived with my wife and I until it became necessary to secure A higher Level of care. We visited many places and could not come to grips with giving her up to just anyone. We were advised that she needed the next level of care. Not knowing which way to turn, we started looking for a place. After just one phone call we felt the Love and Compassion in the owners voice. This was enough to check this place out A little more. After meeting with the owner, seeing her facility and meeting her staff, it didn't take long to feel comfortable. You talk to real people and not answering machines. FOR MY MOTHER: She seems to be so Happy and we feel that we have just added years to her Life. FOR THE OWNER: Thank you for your Love and Compassion For Elderly People. FOR ME: I Feel that placing her under the care of Azalea Oaks was GODS WAY of saying WELL DONE.

I found Azalea Oaks Assisted Living when they put their sign up in the yard of their facility. We were looking for a place for my mother to live as she lived in Pennsylvania and could no longer go back to the cold weather. The day of their Open House we went to look at the facility. By the time we left that day my Mom had already picked out her room and told the owner before we left , pointing to a room, "that's my room"!!!! She already had made up her mind. The staff is so caring and helpful to the residents. The facility is very "homelike" making it an easy "change" for the residents. It is very clean, well kept, and the food is great. The owners are so good to the residents and to their families. They are very accommodating to all of us. This was a very easy transition for Mom and she has not complained at all. We would recommend Azalea Oaks Assisted Living to anyone who wants their family member to be well cared for and loved.
