My mom was at The Canopy at Walden Woods. The staff wasn't very friendly. They actually told us that they were advised not to get friendly with the residents. They would look down or not even acknowledge the residents. It was very odd. It's the opposite of what I would think you would want to be in a facility like that, so that's something that my mom had a hard time with. She always felt like they were avoiding her or just guilty because they looked down all the time. It was odd. The food was bland. There was only one offering of a hot meal, and then if you wanted maybe a sandwich or something instead you could choose, and that was the only thing they had. They didn't have a menu per se that you could choose from. It was very strict. I think the one time that I ate there they had a hot dog, and this was their night meal. It was a hot dog with ground beef on top of it, and then like a swipe of mustard on top of that. It was awful, and so I never ate there again. My mom had a one-bedroom with a living room. It was a little bit bigger than where she is now. The bedroom was fine. She had a walk-in closet, which was huge, so there was a big difference. The activities were good. They had stuff going on all the time. They would post pictures of the residents. Their activities director was great. She would come and get my mom and take her walking. She loved to walk. They're really good with that kind of stuff. Some of the staff remained friendly, too.

I love The Canopy at Walden Woods. It was beautiful, bigger, and brighter. You are welcomed when you get there. The staff was excellent. They were very informative, and they showed me several different rooms. They have different dining aspects. They have transportation services to different places. They seem to have more amenities. They play cards. They introduced me to a couple of people who do cards. The residents seemed to really like the place. The place was clean. They have a beauty and barber shop, an enclosed lanai, and a garden. Everything seemed in order.

I toured The Canopy at Walden Woods. The place is beautiful. It's got a grand entrance. The rooms were small. There was no room for a couch or anything, just a bed and maybe a recliner tightly fitting. The person who interviewed and showed me around spent the majority of her time downing the other facilities, and I don't like that. They had a courtyard but there were no flowers out there or anything like that. It was just plain old cement. It didn't feel inviting.

The Canopy at Walden Woods was a nice community. I just can't afford it. I toured the memory care and it was very well kept. The staff that toured me was a little pushy. She was a salesperson, but she was nice. The rooms were nice. The dining area was clean. I saw people at their event in the activity center and I saw them playing bingo. They had a small patio and a small outdoor area.

The Canopy at Walden Woods had assisted living and memory care. We toured both sides. The assisted living had tiered pricing, so that would have gotten out of hand for my mother's budget. But putting her into memory care was probably the closest to what she currently pays at the other place. It was the first choice we would have gone with if we had toured it first. It was very clean. The employees were professional, especially the woman who gave us the tour. She was very, very friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. The activities and amenities were primarily for assisted living.

I thought The Canopy at Walden Woods was beautiful. The apartments seemed very nice. The facility was beautiful. I saw two apartments, and they were very up-to-date, very modern, and very bright. The staff who toured me was very, very informative. She gave me information that was very helpful to me. I know they have quite a few activities, but I'm not sure what they are because they weren't doing any when I went there. The dining room was beautiful. I saw a sample menu, which looked very nice.

We had an in-person tour of The Canopy at Walden Woods. We like the fact that it's very new, clean, smells great, and looks great. The residents seem to be enjoying themselves. The food was okay, but everything else was just really nice. The rooms were big. Everything was nice. They have a chef. The dining room was beautiful. It had linen, tablecloths, napkins, and silverware. The staff was wonderful. We spent about 3 hours there, and she went over every single thing. My friend has some dementia, so she had to kind of go over things more than once. She was very patient and nice. It's a brand-new property.

I toured The Canopy at Walden Woods. It was nice. They had everything. They had elevators, and they had a weight room. It was really nice. The rooms that we looked at were OK. I would recommend that people go there from what I've seen of it. The rooms were like a studio apartment with a big bathroom. The staff were really nice. They explained everything. We didn't see anybody doing activities, but there was a TV room and a library.

The Canopy at Walden Woods was a fairly new facility. It was a smaller place and I liked it. The location was a bit more private. The rooms seemed clean and well taken care of. I liked its price as well. I liked the lady that gave me the tour.

The Canopy at Walden Woods was more like a hospital setting for me. I waited a long time in the lobby because there was no staff anywhere until I rang the bell. The director was the one who gave me the tour and she was super nice. She took me to the activity room but the residents were just sitting there, eating ice cream. I hardly saw any staff anywhere. The one little courtyard that she showed me was like the center of where all the rooms go on a square such that when you walk out there, you're just facing all the buildings. It looked like the grass was spray painted. It was dark green and very fake looking. I didn't like it. The whole place was super clean and super sterile, almost. It just reminded me more of a hospital than anything else. I was turned off by it. The rooms were very nice and I think they were all private. The place was nice, but I didn't like the courtyard.

My dad is at The Canopy at Walden Woods. The care is wonderful. They provide 24-7 assistance to my father. It is a clean and beautiful facility. If you want to have dinner or lunch or breakfast with your loved ones, you can do so. My dad had his lab work done yesterday, and they got him up and made sure he was dressed and clean. They are very attentive to his needs, so I'm really happy with all the staff so far. The marketing director was wonderful. They went over everything in detail about the facility, cost per month, and my dad's care needs. They communicate very well. My dad had no complaints about the food.

My mom moved into The Canopy at Walden Woods. It is a very nice and clean place. The people are very nice and helpful. They're taking pretty good care of my mom. Everybody has been very polite. They have activities like coloring Easter eggs. My mom played bingo a few times. They have exercises. They try to keep people busy. My mom got a studio and has a refrigerator and air conditioner. We brought her a microwave there. The bathroom was very clean. It is a brand-new facility, and they keep it very clean. There is a courtyard, a little putting range, an activity room, and a playroom.
