I'm currently at the Sweet Water At Largo. Everyone is really friendly. I made friends with the residents that I met in the dining room. The food is sometimes good, and sometimes the meals are not good. They had changes to the people that work in the kitchen, so it's been either good or bad. They have to conform to Florida's state law; so for someone like me, it's a little restrictive regarding medication. They could just give me my meds and I would take them at appropriate times, but they have control over all the medications. They only give it to me at certain times. For example, when I'm not here because I went to a doctor's appointment and miss the time that I'm supposed to take the medication, they won't give it to me when I come back. Some days I don't get all my medication. They won't give it if you're not there within a two-hour window. The appearance of the place is pretty nice. From the outside it almost looks like a residential building, and it's all a single-floor. They keep the place pretty clean, and they come to my room once or twice a week to clean the floor and wash things. They have bingo and other activities, but I don't get involved in them. I think it's expensive to live here, but it's more expensive to live in other places. This place charges less per month for a semi-private.

I went to see Sweet Water at Largo assisted living about a month ago. The tour experience was very positive. I liked the sense of community, the warmth from the caregivers, the cleanliness, and the ambiance. There wasn't anything I did not like. The staff was very friendly, warm, and seemed to be very caring and kind with the residents. The interactions that I saw were very kind. I did not taste it but the food smelled good and the dining room was beautiful. They had a community room, like most do, where they have planned activities and they do some virtual reality stuff and the typical exercise. Some of the rooms have patios and they have a courtyard. I saw some people gathered and they were chatting. It was a very awesome experience.

We chose Sweet Water At Largo, and it’s a very nice place. It’s small with just about 40 beds. They have a family atmosphere. The staff is very good, and their food is good as well.

I had my husband at Sweet Water for a few months, but it just wasn't for him. He needed more attention. The staff was fine; however, my husband needed more attention and more medical help and they couldn't give it to him. The room was fine. He had a single room and it was fine. They took care of it. He never really had a problem. He had a room and a bath and it was fine. They had activities. They had all kinds. Some of them, my husband could do and some of them he couldn’t, but they did have activities there. They played bingo every day. They had a very wonderful lady who really was patient with the bingo and she got them to draw and she got them to color. She was very good and I appreciated that. Overall, it was a temporary placement for my husband. They took care of the patients and they fed them well. The dining room was always clean. It was very nice.

Sweet Water is a small community. The place is very convenient. They have excellent staff and they're more hands on. The staff is well-dressed, looked professional, and they're all neat and clean. If you're looking for a very small community, that's a nice little community. But we were looking for memory loss, and it's really just assisted living there.
