My friend is at Riverwood Nursing and Rehab right now. It's very nice. They call us constantly with everything that happens to him. The staff is wonderful. It's clean. They're very good to him. I would recommend it. It's almost like one-on-one nursing. Yesterday we went and did activities with my friend, and there were some 7 or 8 nurses on the floor and there were maybe 15 patients, so they're very well staffed, and they take very good care of the other patients. The room that my friend is in upstairs. There are three patients in the room. The room is clean. They all have their own little cubby for their clothes and all that. They do activities. All the rooms are nice. Everything is very clean. They're going through some remodeling. I just like the whole facility. There's a courtyard that you can take them out in. Everybody is polite there. My friend likes the food. So we haven't had any complaints so far at all. I think they're worth every penny they charge.

I didn't like anything about Riverwood Nursing and Rehab. People were peeing on the floor in front of the woman giving me the tour. I walked around three puddles of urine when I was there and the staff was with me. I didn't feel anything warm and fuzzy about her. She was very businesslike. I always say hello to people, but not one of the staff responded, which I thought was highly unusual. When I first stepped inside, it was a nice lobby and there was a lady in there taking down some decorations and she was very pleasant. The lady at the desk was very pleasant, too. But once you get beyond that, the place is dirty and icky. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

We went to Riverwood Nursing and Rehab and that was exactly what my mother would want. They have activities and things to do. Just walking through the place, they have plenty of rooms, plenty of aides, and they have entertainment for the residents, so they're not just sitting in their rooms all day. The rooms were double rooms and there is a curtain separating the bed, so you don't have to see everything your roommate was doing. They have showers that they can just wheel you in with a shower chair. There are some private rooms. The staff was very nice and understanding and they know it's hard when you have to do this with a parent or with anybody. They have bingo, they have a beauty shop, they have physical and occupational therapy, and they have groups that come in and sing to them.

This facility seems to be going down hill. They are understaffed and my mother is rarely changed. Their COVID restrictions only allow us to do window visits again and there is no information on website about their rules or guidance. Residents are vaccinated and my mother recently recovered from COVID yet family can’t visit her or take her out even though we are vaccinated and would follow precautions. Is this just what’s convenient for the facility or what’s best for the residents?

Riverwood has rehab, and the living facilities are good. My mom stayed there for six years before she passed away. It has a higher standard of nurses and a lovely dining area. Her room was spacious with two beds. The employees are very passionate with their patients.

Riverwood Center has been fabulous. Everything was wonderful and I was very pleased with them. They were very nice and very kind. All the staff from maintenance, to security, the kitchen, the medical, and the human resources, everybody was wonderful. My husband's room was very comfortable. I couldn't be more pleased.
