The rooms are okay but adequate. The furniture should probably be updated. My mother was there for 2 1/2 years due to her medical condition not being able to walk. I will say that most of the staff is very caring and did take good care of her. There are several CNA's that go above and beyond in their care. It is always good to visit often so that you get to know the staff. They do care meetings routinely and they are very good at calling to inform you of any medical changes.

Mease Life has independent and assisted living on different floors. The place was very impressive, very active, with fabulously huge windows, but the rooms were a bit tight. The staff seemed good. They have tons of amenities and they are going under construction, and will have significantly expanded senior living facilities. They have a gym, they have nice social areas, and they have a hairdresser, but it's the construction that scared me off.

My friend is in Mease Life. It's really nice and the staff is very caring. They're not allowing visitors, but since I had to get her settled, I got an inside view of how they're treating their residents. Knowing that family members can't go in, maybe you'd think that they'd be a little laxed, but they're not. They're very caring. They're on top of any issue and they're great. The apartment size is huge. She has a 1-bedroom 1-bath and it's over 550 square feet. She has a porch that's almost 28 feet long, so the size is very good. They have two activities director, and they have to do things differently due to Covid. The exercise room itself is not in effect, but they have programs that have them exercising, so that works out very well. They have an exercise room that will be active once Covid is passed, but right now they're not. I was there to see some of the food, and it's very gourmet. They give several options through the day. For each meal type, they get several options, but right now due to Covid, the dining room is limited. They're allowing one meal per day in the dining room and the other two meals in their room, but they rotate, so one day they might have breakfast in the dining room, one day they might have dinner. They're doing the best they can with Covid. This was one of the more expensive places, but you get what you pay for, and right now she's paying for the biggest room that we've toured. The value for money is right where it needs to be. They were Mease Manor for many years, but they have renamed themselves to Mease Life, but it is the same establishment. It's an age in place establishment, so they can go in for independent living and they have the larger apartments. From what I'm told, they could go up to a 3-bedroom, so as they get older, they can move from independent to assisted and if there becomes a memory issue such as dementia, Alzheimer's, etc. They can move around the same establishment without having to move to another location. That works well, so this can be a final place to go.

I have a friend that is in Mease Manor right now. It is very nice. The apartments are very nice. The dining room and the food is very good. The people are all very friendly and very nice. We actually used one of the areas to play mahjong, and we went there to play. We played quite a few times in her apartment, but there were a couple of times that we used one of the areas. One time we used the room off of a dining room. It was very nice. The staff was very nice. One of our favorite things was lunch in the dining room. The food was very good and very inexpensive.

I'm familiar with Mease Manor. The rooms there are nice. One of the interesting things is that the assisted living not only has a separate dining room, but also a separate kitchen, which surprised me. They're right next door to a hospital, which is great if you have a need for that. It is a very nice community. It is very close to the gulf too. The place itself was in good shape, but it had an institutional feeling to it. They had quite a few activities going on, but the residents did not seem to be participating. The food wasn't that good there.

The staff at Mease Manor was wonderful and very nice. The community was clean and nice. They have activities, there's physical therapy, and a nice dining room. Although the rooms were small, the rest of the place was nice.

The general appearance of Mease Manor was good. It was an older community but still very well maintained and very nice. The staff members were helpful, good, and open. They gave us all the answers to our questions.

My mother-in-law lived at Mease for about four years. The facility itself is nice with much updating since it is quite old. Food is passable. The problems arose when she needed more care. We signed her up for the medication administration program where a nurse managed and gave her her medications. We decided to move her so lives closer to us in Illinois. When We got her bag of medications from the nurse to take with us it was totally disorganized. There were another woman's medications mixed in with my mother-in-laws. Before we realized there was a different name on the bottle the nurse repeated several times that even though these medications were not on my mother-in-laws list of doctor ordered drugs she had given them to her. Then when we both saw that there was someone else's name on the RX bottle she immediately said "oh no I didn't give these". I called the executive director who did seem concerned. He then got back to me a day later and said that their procedures have been changed so this won't happen again. He also said he was sure that my mother-in-law received her correct medication. I don't know how he can be so sure of this when the nurse insisted she gave them to her until we discovered the wrong name on the bottle. I wanted the cost of medication administration refunded because it was not done safely or properly. He refused. The bottom line is I would not feel safe with my loved one at a Mease ever again.

My father-in-law lived at Mease Assisted Living, and they had a lot of activities there. It was a large place. The independent people were on the top floor, and the assisted living residents were on the lower floors. The dining room for assisted living was on each floor. They just built a brand new memory care unit which is just around the block from where the assisted living is. When you're in assisted living, they would give you your medicine, clean the room, and help you with bathing, and they don’t up-charge for everything. The difference in the prices is by the size of the room that you choose. My father-in-law really liked the music. They had a lot of music people coming in there. They also had a lot of card games, bingo, and parties. Every day, they had 4 or 5 activities going on. The food is very nice. They clean the rooms once a week, they clean the towels and linens, and they do the laundry. They have large nurses' stations where they monitor all the medicines of the residents.

We really liked Mease Manor. Susan was very nice and showed us quite a few different apartments. She did a really nice job. The place had a very homey feeling. It was very clean, and our first impression was very good. When we walked through, all residents were with somebody talking. Nobody was just sitting by themselves. It looked like the community was very friendly.

Mease Manor probably has the most professional people. They've been in business for over 50 years and have a system that's second to none; they're very selective of who they take. The cost is comparable to where she is now, and the manager knows more about elderly care than anyone.

Mease Manor was very well-rated. They do a nice job over there. The staff was attentive with nice grounds, and an excellent chef. It's a very social community. They had a lot of good organizations. They were attached to a rehab, and the hospital is right there also. It's very convenient for people with medical issues. I would absolutely recommend them. However, they don't have a pool, they need one.

We went to Mease Manor. I liked the whole feel of the place. The people that were there looked like they were enjoying themselves. We ate there once, and the food was very good. Overall, it was a good experience. My mom liked it. They had different rooms, but they all had screened porches, which was nice.

I went to Mease Manor, and it was a very old place. They keep the grounds up nice, but it is very old, and they really had no vacancy. I don't even know why they are advertising because they have no vacancies, none at all. I wouldn't have been able to see any apartment except that a lady who lives there was gracious enough to let us look into her apartment. They had no showplaces to show us at all. The rooms were very small -- 500 sq ft -- and I call it small. They gave me a monthly program, and they seemed like they were trying to be active. As far as I am concerned, Mease Manor is out because they have nothing to offer. They shouldn't even be entertaining having people come in when they have nothing to show them. They are fully occupied and have no apartment to show you. And, of course, who would want to move in without seeing an apartment? It is lovely for them that they are fully booked out and don't need to show you anything, but if they want to get other people, then they should at least have a couple of apartments set aside for viewing. The area is very clean, there is nothing wrong with the housekeeping, and the grounds were very nice as well. It is just an old building with old carpeting and old furnishings, but it is 50 years old, so what can you expect?

I visited Mease Manor. I was impressed with the layout of the room. The general atmosphere was very friendly. It was a location that was ideal for us. They had transportation, medical facilities, social activities, and everything that we needed. They served two meals a day. You had a choice of lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

My father-in-law is in Mease Manor now. Everybody was friendly and everything, but we liked it because it was a set price. In a lot of the other ones you add this or add that, and the price keeps going up, but in this one, we know what we would be paying. This is all-inclusive, no matter what you need. There is a nurses' station on his floor, so they come, give him his pills, and make sure he gets all his meals and things like that. And they have a doctor that comes whenever you need something. He likes the food there. They have homemade soups, homemade cookies, desserts -- they make everything right there. It is not canned or anything like that at all. He always has like three entrees, choices of juice, homemade soups -- and that changes every day -- and their salad looked very fresh. He has been very pleased. It is very clean. Every time I have been there, the bathroom looks totally clean like somebody had just cleaned it. The location is perfect. It is right next to a hospital, and there is a nice little downtown right there. They have lots of activities.

Mease Assisted Living had an excellent location; it's near the water. It's very nice, and it looked clean. I liked the rooms. It has a laundry in the hall, and each floor had a porch where you could sit outside. A couple of years ago, I went there for lunch. It was OK. I'm very interested in the bridge my friends play. They also have shows and other activities. However, the girl I spoke to seemed not really nice at all, seemed like she didn't want my husband in there. They don't have a memory unit either.

Mease manor is affordable but the rooms are very small. It's got a studio, one bedroom and two models of 2-bedroom apartments.

I was just doing some research because my husband is retiring this year. I was gathering just pricing information because we were deciding on retirement option. So I'm not at the point of actually choosing one right now. But my mom lives in Mease Manor. She's been staying in this facility for 5 or 6 years now. She's in Independent Living facility. It's one of those places that has tri level. Independent, Assisted Living and they have a nursing home too. My Mom personally chose this facility for her self. I've been visiting her a lot of times. In fact I'll be there on Sunday. With regards to the staff, they seem to be very caring. She's quite happy there. Although she's not as happy with the food, but everything else I think it's been wonderful. I would recommend this facility to others.
