My mom moved into Cedar Creek two weeks ago. It's beautiful there. And they're very good with their patients. They're very on top of taking care of them. They clean her room once a week. They do her laundry once a week. She has a kitchenette, a bedroom, and a living area. The staff was wonderful to her. They're always checking on her. She can't walk. She's in a wheelchair and they're always coming in to make sure she's okay like every couple hours. They wake her up in the morning and get her cleaned up, and then she goes to breakfast. So, she's good. They offer cards that she won't go to because she can't walk. And Thursday is tea day, where they have a piano player come in and play the piano. And, other than that, she doesn't want to go anywhere, but she has those options if she wants to. The food is very good and the dining area is very good also. They take care of everybody.

My mother-in-law is in Cedar Creek. It's very, very nice, and we're very happy. There's nothing that I dislike. My wife has the same feeling. We like them very, very much. We have no complaints. She has no complaints about the food. She has constant activities and she goes to all of them. She has a very nice apartment. They have everything that she needs. I look at the food menu every day and it's very nice. They're good with communication. The rooms are too nice, we don't need to go anywhere. Everything's nice.

We liked Cedar Creek Assisted Living. It's only a 2-story building, but it was very clean when you walk in. The residents had parked their walkers and wheelchairs in and out in the Foyer because they were in the dining room eating when I went there. Their dining room is right off of the foyer when you first come in. They had a huge dining room; it was long so they could space the residents out. They weren't sitting close together. There were some on these tables, but they had a six-foot distance. They were all happy they were sitting there, eating their lunch. The receptionist person was very pleasant. She directed me to a chair if I wanted to, and told me where the restroom was because I've had to drive to get there. It wasn't long before Heather came out to help me and took me on the tour of their place. They have nice grounds, too. It's not huge, but it's nice. It's very clean, the building. They have a creek that runs through; I guess that's why it's called Cedar Creek. There's a creek, and there's all these beautiful flowers and trees, and nice things for the residents to look at and enjoy. The people looked happy with whatever they were eating, but they have their choice of meal. I was given menus that they would choose from for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and they have choices every day of two or three different things. So, the people looked like they were happy with what they were eating. It's very nice for a small facility, it was very well laid out and clean.

We really liked Cedar Creek. It's a much smaller place and it seems very nice. We saw their apartment, dining room, and their recreation area. The staff was very friendly and very helpful too. They had a library, a garden setting area with windows and chairs that you could sit on, an activity room where they would do all kinds of things like crafts, a theater for movies or performances that they may have, and a big front porch with nice chairs on it to sit on. They have all-glass walkways that are raised and you can see manatees sometimes in the water below, so that's pretty cool. It's a very tropical, clean, and cool kind of setting. It's a really nice place.

We chose Cedar Creek because they're very one-on-one. They have exercise and Catholic and Baptist preachers come in, so they have 2 churches a week, and my friend loves that. The food is excellent. They have a chef that takes care of all the meals. Her apartment is excellent and very spacious. She has 2 rooms, a little kitchenette, and her bathroom is very big. They have a library, a computer for public use, an ice cream parlor, and an exercise class, which she goes to every day. It feels like family. They have a little park in the back that's right between the police department and the fire department, so it's pretty safe, and right across the street is the water and a couple of restaurants, and shopping is very close by.

Cedar Creek was the best facility we looked at, but it wasn't affordable (the price was way out of reach). My father would have had his own locked apartment, with a bathroom, refrigerator, and a little sink. They were doing activities and a little dog was running around. The food was OK. The staff took the time and showed us around, it wasn't confusing where the office was. They had exercise equipment, a library, computers, and they had a nice balcony where the residents can sit outside.

Mom spent two months in an assisted living called Cedar Creek. That was the one we ended up bringing her home from as she was disoriented. It was one of the best ones in this area. It was a fantastic place, but it wasn’t for mom. I would highly recommend it, and it came very highly recommended by my mother’s doctor and attorney. We selected it and didn’t regret it at all; we went there, and everything was fine. They were beyond my expectation for an assistant living facility. The staff was like a family; they knew residents by name. They have an activity director that was fantastic. There were people there that worked for 12 years. They have the best food, atmosphere, cleanliness, and activities. All of the residents were happy there.

The staff of Cedar Creek is absolutely outstanding. They treat us really well. The food is very good; there are pretty varied meals, and they are usually very good. You can have about anything you want at breakfast, and lunch is the extra largest meal of the day. They serve beer and wine here too. The place is spotless. They have activities everyday, and they have two activities directors. They have bingo, they play cards, they do arts and crafts, and they have trivial pursuits two or three days a week, which is good. In fact, this weekend we are having a champagne Sunday brunch. And the facility is bordering a creek, so you can walk out certain times of the year. We can walk out on the wooden deck and watch the manatees swimming up the creek right next to us. We have two resident ducks that live on the creek and some egrets. Inside the facility, we have a dog and two cats that roam around, and you can bring your own pets here too. We are surrounded by a lot of good restaurants, and right across the street is the bay. They have some picnic tables over there on the bay where you can relax and watch the birds come and go. It is just a great area up here. My wife is the one that really needs the place because she is an Alzheimer's patient. They get her dressed in the morning then walk her down and get her meds. And the nurse's office is right outside the dining hall, so she gets her medication and then has breakfast. They have people that roam the hallways at night just to make sure that the residents -- especially the Alzheimer's patients -- don't wander out of their rooms. They do the laundry once a week, or you can do it yourself. They also drive me to my dialysis and bring me back three days a week. They have a big bus, a little bus, and a van. They really take care of my wife. So far, I have been very pleased with the way they are taking care of her.

Cedar Creek was very nice. The big thing there was that its cost was too much. The staff was very good. It was a smaller facility and we like that. Also, the location was excellent. It was across the river, which is very good and good for my family, but their cost was high. Their apartments were less than 500-square-feet and the cost was just outrageous. The best thing about it is the size of the community. It was smaller.
