My friend is in Courtyard of Loveland and she's happy. The staff is very friendly and the residents have been very kind to her. My friend is blind, and her roommate's been very kind and helps her walk around and shows her things. I've not tried the food, but I think she likes it. If she doesn't like what's being served, they have an alternative plan. I just go on Sundays to pick her up for church and visit with her. When we went in to check it out, they had a preschool group come in and color and do sidewalk chalk in their courtyard, which was fun to see. I was very impressed with the staff. The facility is a little rundown, but it's good. It's just older.

My mother was a resident of Courtyard of Loveland. It's kind of set up like a bed and breakfast. They don't have their own showers so they go down the hall to shower, but they have their own bathroom and sink. They have a courtyard in the center where they grow their own vegetables, and there's a beautiful garden. They take care of the garden or they go out and sit and enjoy it. It started out wonderful, but by the time she left I was not pleased. There was a new director, things changed, and there was a lot of turnover. They clean the room and they also do activities. The staff would come in and give her her medicine, or if she was eating they would take it to wherever she was. Other than that, they were pretty independent. In the end, the activities were not very good. For music and singing, the new activities director would just put on a CD and leave the room. She was trying to give them beginner Spanish lessons and that was a good thing, but there wasn't a lot going on in the end. They had bingo every week. I don't think their menu was very tasty; it was pretty tasteless.

We selected Courtyard of Loveland for my brother. We are quite pleased with it. It is very friendly. We have had nothing but good experiences with the staff. The rooms are fine. They vary in sizes. We got a smaller one because that's what my brother needed. It is adequate though. They have a nice dining area too. I don't think they have a fair number of activities; however, my brother is not inclined to get involved.

The lady at the Courtyard of Loveland was really nice, but she wasn't prepared for us. It was a cute little place. The first thing that did hit us was it smelled like smoke. There was a gentleman out in the courtyard, and he wasn't smoking where he was supposed to be, so the smoke was just wafting into the building. My mom is sensitive to that. The rooms didn't have air-conditioning. They had heating, but during the summer, they didn't have air-conditioning. They said that they would put a wall unit in. It was an older building, so that's what you would expect. The lady that did the activities seemed really nice. The staff seemed really happy and very kind. I got to see the kitchen and where the food was prepared.

I didn't like Courtyard of Loveland, and the reason I was turned off by it is because they had very small rooms, and they didn't have baths, so they had to take a shower out in the hall. They were nice, but it kind of reminded me of a nursing home more than an assisted living. The lady there did a good job, and she was nice and informative.

We picked out Courtyard of Loveland, but I realized that my mom’s dementia was too far advanced for them to take care of her. The staff was wonderful. That’s where I would want to go when the time comes. It is very nice, and everyone seems to be caring and supportive. They had a courtyard wherein the residents can go outside to grow vegetables and flowers. They had a couple of common areas, and one of them doubled as a theater area. They had a big dining room, and we were able to meet the chef. It was a nice place.

Courtyard is a very amazing place. You walk in and they're right there to ask what you need. I really liked that they're a very small community with only about 30 residents that lived there, so there was a lot of one-on-one attention. The people are great, and the rooms are nice but small. That was the only thing I didn't like. There was nothing going on the day we went, but they do have a lot of activities for the residents. The dining area was nice and clean but not fancy. They have book clubs where they read and get together to discuss that book. They also have a salon right there, so that my mom could get her hair done. As far as being nice and everything, I'd give them five stars.

The Courtyard of Loveland was wonderful. They had an activity director, nurse, chef and secretary on staff. There was a nurse on duty for 24 hours and they had plenty of help. My mom stayed there for 8 months and they were like a big family. They had a van and took the residents out on an outing every week. Each room had a restroom and a special bathing area. The food was wonderful.

The Courtyard in Loveland, Colorado provides a sense of community among the residents and is a positive place for them to live. I visit here regularly with my Therapy Dog, and the residents comment frequently on the great food quality and the staff who care for them. The facility offers outings and activities for the residents, and makes a special day of birthdays. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and the staff are quick to offer help to the residents.
