The Residence at Grand Mesa is very quiet and clean. The rooms are nice and the staff seems very nice. The one bad thing I heard from my friend is that the food is terrible. His room is a single. It's fairly small, but has a nice large bathroom with its own shower. A wheelchair can get in and out really well, and it has a lot of handrails and safety features to it. The rooms are painted nicely, with a nice carpet, and bright windows with a lot of light. It's a very simple but cheerful room. It has some nice little features like a computer room, living room, a nice dining room, and a separate dining room for if family wants to get together and have a meal. The middle of the residence opens to a garden area so you can go outside. There's lot of trees, a nice gazebo in the middle of it, and its protected from all around so you can feel like you're safe going out there. They were doing some Bingo and sitting exercises when I was there. The one thing that my friend thinks would be nice would be some exercise equipment since there's no place to really stay in shape. They have daily devotionals so they'll have a Catholic service or different religious services every day in the mornings. There's a nice bulletin board where people can put whatever they want up, like pictures of their grandkids that they can share with other residents. It's very quiet and it's one of the things my friend struggles with since he tends to be a little bit more social.

I wanted to sing my praises for Scott S and his staff at The Residence of Grand Mesa. My Mom has lived there for 2 1/2 years, they always go the extra mile to be sure the residents needs are being met. They are friendly, efficient, and we could not be happier knowing Mom is happy, and well cared for in a clean, well run assisted living community. I wouldn't want my Mom anywhere else!! Cyndi Edmunds

The surroundings of The Residence of Grand Mesa were beautiful. The location was a little bit farther away from things that you might want to go like shopping and stuff. It was in an older style. It was almost like a cabin. There were lots of woods. The floors creak, and that was really nice. It was like an old farm house. The rooms were beautiful. The people were extremely nice -- the residents that were there and the staff. They were up on what was going on and continuous to stay with you until you came up with either a “yay” or a “nay” that you were going to stay there. It was very nice. I liked it. I wished I could go there.

The quality of services is great. The food could use improvement. The director, Scott S., and his assistant are wonderful.

Residence at Grand Mesa is a really nice and clean facility, and they make it really cozy and homelike for the residents. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. She is in a shared room that Medicaid will cover, and it is very private and large considering what Medicaid covers at other assisted living places. The dining room is very nice and large and has a good atmosphere. The food is really good, and they give you multiple options at each meal, so you get to pick what you want to eat. They have different exercise programs and Bingo, I know that they do church services and singing, and they still even play multiple other games like computer games and Wii bowling. I just like knowing that they are taking good care of my mother-in-law's medication and of all her needs.
