I toured Grand Villa Assisted Living. It was a nice facility. There's no outdoor entrance to the apartment, it's all through the main hallway. My parents and their small dog would like a direct outside entrance from the apartment. The staff was great. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and they are more than happy to assist in answering any questions. They seem to have a lot of activities around there that my father especially would be interested in.

Grand Villa Assisted Living was very nice. I liked it a lot. It's very close to us. I liked it because it was more affordable. It's an older and smaller building. I met with one of the cooks, and she's been there for 29 years, so it seemed like they had a very loyal staff working there. There were some residents there that we just talked to briefly, and they were very friendly as well. Everyone was very nice. The room wasn't quite as lavishly furnished as the other facility, but it was laid out very nicely for my husband to get around in a wheelchair. We just saw a menu, and it looked fine. The facility was very open and spacious, so it would be easy to move around in. There was an upper level and a lower level. The choir was singing, and it was really nice to hear that. There were activities and a workout room. The facilities are fine. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly.

I went to Grand Villa Assisted Living. The rooms were nice, but the main lobby seemed noisy. And the outside spaces are especially noisy. The staff was very nice. The size of the rooms was fine. The common spaces seem busy.

This was our favorite place. It's smaller than the other ones and more open. We feel like that would be a great fit for our parents. I think the biggest thing is that it's a simple floor plan. You walk in and you can see everything. It's just like a long building. It's a two-story, but they have skylights, which bring in a lot of light, so it gives more of a friendly atmosphere. There are rooms on the top floor and rooms on the bottom floor more like a hotel style. The girl that showed us around was very friendly. There was a group of elderly ladies in the middle of the open area, and they were playing a game or something like that. And there were probably 10 ladies sitting around this big table, which was welcoming to see that they were out of their rooms doing things. There's a small garden in the back area, so they could go out and plant their own. I think there was just a tomato plant out there, but the staff said in the past there had been strawberries and corn and stuff like that. My dad likes to garden, so that was kind of interesting. The grounds are beautiful. It is right off Patterson, so that's a pretty busy street. My mom isn't to the point where she's wandering it all, but that could be a concern. But they all wear like a little beacon or something like that, where if they fell, they could push it for help, or if they leave the building, it beeps.

The Villa was a really nice place. They have nice rooms, their staff is excellent. As of this time, we decided not to put my Mom in Assisted Living. If ever in time she is ready, we already picked this place for her.
